A Time Tunnel reboot would almost complete the set of early-mid 1960s sci-fi show IPs to bring back.
The only major one I can think of that’s been ignored to date is the bizarre fantasy Wild Wild West. It kind of had steampunk elements before steampunk was even a thing. That one deserves at least a movie.
I’d forgotten that one with Will Smith, Kevin Kline and Kenneth Branagh, but 1999 is a long time ago now (and I had big life events that year). It sounds like I should track it down again.
The original television show ran 3 seasons on CBS, but the movie was distributed by Warner Brothers. So, whichever holds the IP rights, the merged Ellison company would have the rights.
When they do Time tunnel, they really should get Peter Capaldi in for a cameo.

Yeah, 27 years is a lifetime. Tbh, that movie is all I associate with the title, so I appreciate the info on the series.
