Have you ever considered that the Prime Directive is not only not ethical, but also illogical, and perhaps morally indefensible?

Star Trek Social Club@startrek.website•Doctor Who and Star Trek showrunners discussed possible crossoverEnglish
22·6 days agoThat ship has decidely sailed, with both franchises on the space rocks at the moment.
I’m guessing this is hinting that they’ll finally be restoring the Klingon War-era “trilogy” of “The Kuvah’Magh”, “City on the Edge of Never”, and “Past Imperfect”.
If true, it will be good to finally restore a lot of Leonard Nimoy’s recorded dialogue.

5·13 days agoI strongly disagree with the first three points (not yours, I know) - especially in the TOS era - but I do agree it doesn’t quite feel the way I want it to.

They just have to make sure none of the eventual TOS cast meet him…

4·20 days agoWhat’s the state of the ol’ tutorial these days? Does any of Zachary Quinto’s role as the EMH remain? They’ve rewritten it so many times, I’ve lost track.

10·21 days agoIt seems like they don’t mean “bolder” so much as “more mainstream”.
I’m not necessarily opposed to that, but I also like the oddball, niche games of the last few years (short-lived as they’ve been).

Time’s motion depends on the observer, on the action. The people I was able to move from Earth to Terralysium, as they call my planet, are thriving. Their survival means that time is fluid. The future can be changed. Maybe the past, as well.

4·26 days agoIt’s technically not canon anyway, and I don’t really like it as an explanation, since we don’t see variable-geometry nacelles on other ships of the era.
Best to assume they solved the subspace damage problem through some other means, IMO.

7·26 days agoThat belief stems back to the publication of the Star Trek Chronology (2nd edition), and it might be true, but I’ve never actually seen direct confirmation from any of the writers involved.

16·26 days agoEven TNG is weird about that, since their method of attacking colonies is called out as being identical to the attacks along the Neutral Zone at the end of season one, so the Borg had been operating in the Federation and Romulans’ back yards for a while.

That’s generally been my opinion, too - two great tastes that likely wouldn’t taste great together.
But for the sake of arguing with myself, they were able to make the SNW/LD crossover work, and that arguably has just as much tonal whiplash, if not more, despite the shared setting.
