When I was younger and TNG was coming out, I thought “oh wow this is so cool, every 20 years we go another 100 years into the future of Star Trek!” And here we are almost 40 years later, still rehashing the same characters from the same eras over and over. As a nearly 100% Debian user, I’d recommend trying a distro with more up to date packages/kernel like Fedora or even Bazzite before giving up.
