Can I make preserved lemon from frozen lemon?

I put a surplus of lemon in my freezer without any preparation. Now I want to make lemons pickled in salt like in this recipe

Is it possible with thawed lemons? I don’t want to waste them…

I was interested in looking at the recipe, but that website is garbage.
