Canned pineapple, green peppers, onion, soy curls, in homemade sweet and sour sauce

A big thanks to @toomanypancakes@piefed.world for their meal the other night that finally convinced me to try soy curls.

Question… as someone trying to eat better, might I ask…what exactly is a soy curl? Can you post your recipe as well?

This us the recipe I used: https://www.simplyveganized.com/post/sweet-sour-soy-curls

Butler Soy Curls™ are plant-based protein strips that are heart-healthy, delicious, and easy to use! The exquisite texture, flavor and versatility of Soy Curls™ is unmatched.

In the recipe it says to pan cook the curls, I baked them at 400°/205° for 15 minutes. Because I used my toaster oven they were still kind of wet, so I transferred them to a mesh basket and Air fryed them for 5 minutes at the same temp.

Excellent! Ordered some just now, gonna have this for dinner on Saturday! Thanks for the idea!

Gotta ask though, are they kind of like tofu, just taking up the flavor of what they’re cooked with or do they bring something of their own to the table?
