I think that something that should be kept in mind is that for a Klingon, what they do is combat but not necessarily physically. Say you’re a Klingon architect, your foe is gravity and the laws of physics. As a Klingon doctor, your foe is disease and ultimately death itself. A Klingon chef fights bland palates and hunger and keeps their customers fighting fit.
Eating this spicy Klingon-Thai curry is an honorable battle; but the battle the next morning…that is a battle without honor.
