We swear we won’t go rooooamin’
I’m just glad to see that phrase used again

Cool. Let me install these cameras in your house, including your bedroom and bathrooms. Nothing to hide, nothing to fear

How appropriate. You fight like a cow

Angband for me, high five my fellow older roguelike enjoyer

Mustering the will to get out of bed in the morning doesn’t in itself immediately achieve the things I need to do that day, but it’s a first step in the process of getting there. Awareness and convincing people problems are real issues is a step toward potential solutions, even though on their own they don’t immediately solve the problem.

By hand. I find it relaxing and a good time to get lost in my thoughts or listen to audiobooks. It’s also nice to just have some things that you do manually. I don’t like the idea of a world where machines take care of everything.
The dishwasher never does a good enough job anyway
This is why I get a lot of comfort stargazing at night. So much stress or worry melts away when the realization hits that nothing really matters anyway. I don’t think this is quite what Tolkien was going for with the scene where Sam sees a star up through a small opening in the gloomy sky when he’s struggling, but it’s how I took it.
I think the tricky part for some people is trying to figure out why living life should matter at all, then, but it’s always worked for me. Just because a moment ends doesn’t mean that the moment shouldn’t matter to you, if you find it fulfilling or meaningful.
I’ll not repeat what I’ve already seen listed, just wanted to add Castle of Cagliostro. Not quite as innocent as Disney’s Robin Hood (which is an all time favorite of mine, wearing a shirt right now with Skippy and his wooden sword with the words “DEATH TO TYRANTS”). It’s another great rogue with a heart of gold taking down the bad guy story though. I feel like we need stories like these now more than ever.
