For basic form filling, the Firefox PDF editor is fine. But sounds like OP’s use case is more advanced than that.

3·2 years agoTake a look at Minifree Ltd. For less than USD $500, you can get a decent ThinkPad with Libreboot and your choice of Linux distro (KDE Debian is installed by default).
For me it was salmon patties. My parents were fond of making them, especially during Lent. It was basically a can of salmon, toss in some (light) seasoning, and cook until its the consistency of a hockey puck. They were these dry, tasteless abominations and I could not stand them.
If I were to make them today, it’d be more akin to a crab cake and with fresh salmon instead of canned. But I won’t.

251·2 years agoAssuming you’re not American and are unfamiliar with our bicameral legislature: Mitch McConnell is a Republican senator from Kentucky who served as the Senate Majority Leader when Republicans held a majority in the Senate. Mike Johnson, on the other hand, is a Republican representative in the House of Representatives–the other half of Congress–who was elected to the position of Speaker by a majority of House Republicans. The Speaker is second in line to the Presidency and actually be held by anyone. However, at no time has Mitch McConnell been Speaker of the House.

I just wrote a bash script copies the relevant files or directories I want to back up from either ~ or ~/.config and places them in a local git directory which I then push to a private repo on Codeberg. Super janky and manual but I update dotfiles so seldom that it works for what I need.
