I’ve been daily driving arch since 2021, it just works. In my experience, mother distros like arch tend to work better than downstream distros like manjaro or endeavouros. I haven’t had any expreience with CachyOS yet though.

Get Arch if you really want to tinker and learn about linux.

Windows (2015-2021) --> Manjaro (2 Weeks) --> Arch (2021-today)

What’s not working for you?

Yeah, my answer was worded badly. The 7900 XTX is in use on a Linux system since day 1 and the experience is flawless now.

One of the 7800 XTXs is actually in use on a Windows 10 system atm, but I’ve only been using that one for about a week now. I own the 7900 XTX since launch and it’s been pretty much flawless since about two months after launch.

I own two 7800 XTs and a 7900 XTX, they all perform great on linux, I’m very happy with AMD this generation.

There are many Matrix Clients that don’t run on Electron on Desktop.

Afaik Telegram desktop does use Electron so I assumed we were talking about mobile.

EDIT: Telegram desktop does in fact not use Electron.

Electron does run on Android, see Element Android or Discord for example. I thought we were talking about mobile.

Signal, Whatsapp and many Matrix Clients including the new Element X are not Electron based afaik
