41·2 years agoit goes very fast with soymilk, only a minute or two. I guess I shouldn’t have just said plant milk because they don’t all work the same. almond and other nut milks don’t really work. Maybe pea milk would work as it’s another pulse. I will edit my post

looks awesome! I have this broth powder I got at the asian mart that’s basically lazy person vegan pho broth, it has salt msg and all the pho spices. anyway I have rubbed and baked tofu in that and used it in “banh mi” style sandwiches and sliders and its really great. pickled veg, cilantro vegan mayo and the tofu. I remember this youtuber the viet vegan was experimenting with making a paté like commonly found on trad banh mi using sunflowers and I think that would be cool to try. I really want to try getting good at making the french rolls too

oh no are you one of those unfortunate enough to have cilantro taste like soap? it does look similar to those pancakes but the major difference is the batter is entirely made from legumes, so no flour. I’m not gluten free, I love gluten, but using moong dal or lentils or something could be a nice alternative for a gf pajeon or yachaejeon etc. even okonomiyaki too probably!
the fact that i understand this makes me want to stop selling death sticks and go home and rethink my life
