Thnx. Pegging… Traditional. Needs different joints. Challenging, Can see myself building with pegs somewhere down the line.

Mostly screws sunken into the legs. The holes are plugged (if you zoom in you might be able to see I need to cut and sand some)
Right. Gotcha. Was still in grill-modus… Eehhhhh… Unless you are 200+ kg I’m confident it’ll hold
Sorry… Is “Kamado grill” less confusing? (Damn, that would be one hell of a rice cooker to fit in there)
Building is as much fun as grilling (maybe even more). Imagine cooking on something you build yourself. Custom made. Everything is exact how you want it.
Sorry… Did I just pushed you over the edge?
I will post more later. It’s a full patio rebuild. The wish to buy a kamado and make a table for it that also accomodate the ooni and dutch ovens initated it.
The empty space on the right will be storage of ooni and DO’s

Privacy@lemmy.ml•Dumb question, but theoretically would it prevent Win exploits?
2·5 days agoAll breaches i’ve seen so far where either “i tought it was safe” or the “yeah it looked a bit suspicious but I clicked it just to see”
Make my own gluhwein alike drink. On 1dec i take a jar, and put in
- 3 star anis
- 7 cloves
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- grated orange peel
- 3 crushed peppercorns
- vodka till everything is fully submerged
Close lid, store dark and shake once a day. On christmas eve: filter out the solids an mix the vodka with a bottle of red wine. Serve warm
If you don’t trust it …Then why not simply replace it.? They are not that expensive anymore and peace of mind is worth something too. Especially when switching to pfsense

2·9 days agoI’ve done my share of climbing, this is the (safe) way to climb. (Assuming the structure you are climbing is okay to climb) I myself prefer a full harness.
Boil it and serve it in a bowl, not on your plate. (You can’t get all the water out and I HATE it when water seeps out to the rest of my meal)

But once there is a minor scratch, it will become completely worthless in no time at all. Now it’s not IF but WHEN that scratch happens

Elementary on my wife’s, the rest of the family manages mostly. Outside family I now go to great lengths to avoid it. I just help them find the right distro and guides.
Otherwise some will see you as 1st 2nd and 3rd line support as well as hardware engineer from installation onward. Kind of the same as in the past when tv’s could be repaired. If they know you can do it, your done for. You have not stated working hours nor tariffs. And why pay for parts? You probably have boxes full of all kinds of stuff. (Including a demand to come over and fix stuff on xmas eve at 22:00)
I know, it sounds bitter, I’m not. Or …well over this point maybe a bit, I enjoyed helping out until too many saw it as a right and not a favour.

Kind of the same here. I live far out of town, a welder is a nice thing to have at hand. Even I don’t use it often. I’m not realy good at it, but it holds.
