Science@beehaw.org•COVID-19 mRNA vaccines can trigger the immune system to recognize and kill cancer, research finds
11·1 month agoRemarkably, patients who received either the Pfizer or Moderna mRNA-based COVID-19 vaccine within 100 days of starting immunotherapy were more than twice as likely to be alive after three years compared with those who didn’t receive either vaccine.
just exercising some healthy skepticism here, wouldn’t people that didn’t take the vaccines just be more likely to have died of covid, and also be an indicator of other poor choices? or is there some extra math im missing that accounts for immunodeficient exemption vs choosing no vaccine, etc?
edit: nvm. looking at extended data fig. 2 of the paper, there is definitely not the same overall survival boost with the flu and pneumonia shots compared to the covid mRNA.

me too! but this one time in high school calculus, my classmate beside me ate the core and put the seeds and stem on a napkin, like i usually did. but then he proceeded to pour them all into his hand and SWALLOW IT IN ONE BIG GULP, and ngl it really pissed me off for some reason. after that, i preferred eating oranges.
well, i guess to do absolutely nothing and die is still something to do 🤷😅😂
holy shit i solved it.
THE PURPOSE OF LIFE IS TO DO SOMETHING
the strangest yet most profound things find me while im on shrooms. or maybe that’s only when i start noticing them…
this post makes so much sense, yet the more i think about it the less sense it makes.
im gonna go touch grass and look at the electeic spiders and the strange webs they weave now
woah that’s so cool, so the expanding steam is making a barrier across the surface of the skin!?!?
if you shot a durian at the sun, how close could it get before burning up?
would it form a tiny atmosphere with microscopic weather patterns and have a comets tail of steam?

WOW, why does this comment section have so much misogyny and Islamophobia? Are people seriously only looking at the Wikipedia article then stopping once their prejudices are confirmed?
How can you seriously claim that Fatima al-Fihri didn’t exist because the Rawd al-Qirtas was written centuries afterwards so it’s untrustworthy? And that’s according to “some historians” over a millenia later? Like, check the references, one is just a french guy saying in his opinion it’s too much of a coincidence that the 2 most famous mosques of Fez were built at the same time by 2 sisters??
There are also people claiming it was just a mosque and not a learning institution…

I searched for a while to find a photograph of her diplomas on display, but couldn’t find any; if anyone else can find them, share them here! I did find pics of the first medical diploma issued though! Take a wild guess where it was issued from?

Like… c’mon. This place is truly deserving of so much respect and honour. This is such a stunningly beautiful site with so much rich historical significance, and it’s unbelievable that there are comments diminishing that and lying about “the truth”. I’ll finish off with words from an article about the library’s renovations from 2016:
