thats what happens when we as society become ignorant and inept, and therefore we vote for inept and ignorant people to represent us.

I do exactly the same. Ads were tolerable when they were just a few tv commercials, but nowadays we are flooded with them everywhere, and for me they manage to do the opposite of what they are made for, the more I see a brand advertised the more I despise the brand.
Ubuntu has always been a carrousel for me for one reason or another, Fedora is the most stable for me now with kde, and pop os (if you prefer ubuntu) popOS is ideal and stable
My experience with a LAN/USB brother printer/scanner helped me forget my HP nightmares, they have drivers for Linux althought Linux recognizes it and uses it without issue or their drivers, and still got a firmware update the other day after more than 10 (i think) years that I have it. Model DCP-L2540DN.
i had some of that too, too many times with Debian 13, I ended up moving to Fedora to try and i dont have those problems any more.
Mine would be some type of config corruption, making a new user it would log in fine, and deleting kde config files from my user would also let me log in instead of a black window.
Also when shuting down some systemctl service would block the stopping 1 minute and 40 seconds or something similar because of some connection issue ( I do not remember the reason well enough to be precise).
This made me decide to seek some other more stable desktop for the time being, and Fedora seems to just work all along.
