Starch. This limits what I can eat. Unfortunately I didn’t know this growing up, so I ate a pretty carb heavy diet which caused health issues which caused me to be grouchy a lot. Took until I nearly 40 to figure out that I wasn’t just an unstable asshole.

Technology@lemmy.ml•Microsoft begins turning off uBlock Origin and other extensions in Edge
3·9 months agoUngoogled Chromium exists. I wonder if it’d possible to do a version of Chomium that has the benefits of Edge without the downsides.
I realize MS would still be tracking, but it’d be all work stuff, so I’m less concerned about it.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What is something that you've found 'defeats the purpose'?
221·1 year agoThis isnt an example of “defeating the purpose”. This is something that might be considered pointless, like making your bed when you’ll just sleep in it again later.
Defeating the purpose would be writing the password to your computer on a sticky note and putting it where anyone can see it.
Or just disable the cell modem.
If you like puzzle games I suggest trying portal. Portal 1 is inexpensive on Steam and playable on any modern PC including on Linux. It’s low pressure, has some humor, not very violent, and you can restart from anywhere you like.

we wouldn’t have to eat Kraft Dinner.
Growing up I watched my mom drink cup after cup and then let her anxiety run rampant. Told myself I wasnt gonna touch it. I don’t even find the smell appealing.
