there’s no login and history is stored locally (probably remotely too)

i came to say that we can definitely have both. thank you for explaining this thoroughly.
i don’t have anything useful to add except that I’m saving this because i also want to know the same thing as you.
hoping to learn how and start hosting my own matrix server over summer. depending on how things work I’d like to migrate my family chat there, possibly even host space for my kid’s friends if that’s a thing they have interest in using

AI that’s powered by crappy prompts

eventually we’ll all be able to have an open source AI that runs fine on a phone or any average device and we’ll have our privacy, and the big corps will lose their grip and hopefully collapse

it could run it! that’s roughly the same cpu speed as this

that’s cool but at 24mhz it’s not doing much. still cool, but quite limited

nevermind, it’s going to eat up my phone’s resources

hmm, this might actually be good

there are plugins that allow you to write your own CSS for a website. if you know enough CSS , and depending on the structure of the search results, you can probably make a style rule to hide things based on the domain

didn’t that crush red lobster recently?

the difference is closer to maximal. only way to be worse is not just on purpose, but expertly on purpose.
not everyone knew who he really was. musk used to have a pr team guiding his public persona. it wasn’t until he fired them that people got to see who he really was little by little.
also, a lot of people kept singing his praises and still do. for me the thing that really did it was when he started talking about tech stuff and I’m a programmer so i knew he was full of crap. but watching non tech people believe it made me realize that he’s been lying the whole time i just didn’t realize until it came to something that’s in my field of expertise
with the recent news of a ToS from FF which forks would you recommend as a daily driver to replace FF?

the genie is out of the bottle, they might as well capitalize on it while they still can.
i predict with ai getting cheaper and more efficient we will “soon” have the ability to run our own personal ai locally on a phone
nvidia will be less happy by then, but they care about short term gains like every other large Corp

enforcing data privacy but requiring verification for porn is an odd combo

did you hear the latest from proton ceo? ugh
why not use more than one? use ddg for general searches of non location based things. then switch to a different preferred search for location based things
