Vanguard and Fidelity don’t really own that stuff. They’re managing the wealth of customers. The funds they have are almost entirely or entirely owned by customers.
Vanguard and Fidelity make money so long as people hold money in their funds. They win pretty much no matter what. The bubble bursting will mean they make less money, but they can’t really lose money because they don’t own the underlying equities.
I have the reverse, I am so used to Excel from work that using Google sheets can be really annoying.
The watchabilty thing actually makes stuff nearly unwatchable for me because I like to, you know, pay attention to the movie I am watching. They have to make the characters so one note and cliche so that half-brains can pick up what’s happening in the film. They beat you over the head with everything but don’t bother closing up plot holes because they think you weren’t paying enough attention to see them.

I think of blond ales as a pale ale without the hops. So it’s a kinda sweet, kinda bready, not too bitter ale. No roasty flavors like chocolate or coffee notes since the barley is barely toasted.

The problem is that they are a cartel, so we get in a place where a group of private businesses can dictate who can make money.
I think it’s a great idea in theory that as a payment processor you can have influence on social changes. I think businesses should have clear ethics so that I can support those that match my own. If there were 50 processors to choose from that all had niches and different ethics, fine. But we have in reality one processor with finger puppets on asking us which puppet we like best.
Sounds like a strange dream I would have then wake up drooling on my pillow like a great dane.
What about a masters in engineering and a bachelor’s in chemistry makes him even double more qualified? Yeah, maybe if he had a doctorate you could make that argument, but you could easily learn and do as much science work in 6 years outside of a university than you would in a BS and MS program at a university.
I think it’s literally because rock and stone occupy the same place in people’s brain so they think they’re the same company.
