0·2 years agoFlatpak made my life much easier. It solves so many problems that the Linux ecosystem had. “Package once, use everywhere” is great.
Snap could have been similarly good, but I think Canonical made some mistakes.
I don’t hate Snap. I think a bit of friendly competition is good for both Snap and Flatpak.

0·3 years agoThis is why the fediverse is so great. It really is really expensive to run a social media company. By spreading the cost over many actors and encouraging competition, this allows us to host content without being beholden to billionares.


There is no way for these companies to say no to law enforcement. That is why you should stay away from corporate social media.
