I like it for some of the reasons you don’t. I can play it kinda on autopilot, without giving it my full attention. When cooking for example. I can also play it when I don’t have much mental energy left. It’s cute and often funny. And especially in some of the later titles I enjoy the positive vibes, which, even though it’s a game, it can be nice to hear someone say something nice about me. So I am usually in a better mood from laughing and feeling more positive after playing it.

3·2 months agoWent to https://play.google.com/console and it all seems to be okay. The two derelict apps already have package IDs and my info is on the identity tab. I think I may have visited that page a year or two ago in response to an email from Google. Or is there something else?

40·2 months agoI paid the fee for a dev account near the beginning of Android. Haven’t had any apps published in over a decade, but from what I understand my account is grandfathered in so I don’t have to jump through as many hoops to get something published if I chose to, compared to newer accounts. Anyhow, since I have an account I suppose I’m unaffected by this decision. Still, it goes against the original spirit of Android as a free and developer-centric platform and I condemn it.

1·2 months agoAh okay that makes sense then. I’d seen some comments from other people on here about not downvoting as a dislike button, and I thought that’s what you were saying as well, but it wasn’t.

5·2 months agoI seriously don’t understand some people’s logic downvoting for no reason on a site where votes are public.
I was just scrolling and haven’t followed the thread so please be aware that I’m responding in isolation, out of context to whatever situation you’re referring to.
Sometimes I’ll disagree with a part or most of a comment that someone made, however I’ll also recognize that my opinion on it doesn’t align with what the echo chamber thinks. Perhaps I’ll just respond anyway, but often I don’t want to deal with the expected dogpile and personal comments which I find emotionally taxing, so I’ll just downvote instead. In those cases it might appear I’m downvoting for no reason, but there are definitely reasons.

2·2 months agoDidn’t realize the anime resumed! These were special furigana versions of the books for children. Picked them up on vacation in Japan. Searched everywhere but couldn’t find them in Akihabara, instead they were in a random bookstore in a giant mall next to the Tokyo Skytree. Sad to say I don’t know Japanese except for a few tourist and anime words and I’ve not yet put in the work to try to read them.

2·2 months agoOh nice, is that Myne in your profile? I really need to re-read Bookworm and start the Hannelore series.

Tried watching the first episode a couple of times but it didn’t really capture my interest. Plus somehow the video quality managed to be even worse than DS9.
