I’ve been dual booting for ages without any windows-caused issues. is it windows 11 specifically that messes with dual booting or did I accidentally work around it by installing Linux to a separate ssd
I believe they have an lsp you can run which should work with lots of editors. not an ide I know, but pretty good still

most of his comments I completely understand, but saying process manager ‘looks a bit low-rent’ tells me absolutely nothing other than that you personally don’t like the look.
also, complaining about not having a consistent way to install apps is a bit rich when coming from a desktop where the best way is still to just find the app website, download the installer and click through an inconsistent installer that might be trying to add ad- or spyware along with the app you want

hard disagree about the permissions. If I want to run closed source programs like games, discord, zoom or whatever, I like knowing they can’t log all my keys, take screenshots or even run their own version of windows recall without my explicit permission

the meat off of hens that have stopped laying is also mostly only good for soup, since it’s pretty tough meat that said, it’s not that hard to kill them for food since you’re not exactly cuddling with them or even that close to them often like with companion pets

it works great on desktop using mouse too

maybe they like the look?

This is the absolute worst advice for coming to a European country. It’s probably different in Denmark but for some countries or cities at least you won’t be able to get through the bureaucracy needed to legally immigrate without speaking the language. Even in offices that mainly help foreigners you may find the employees don’t speak English. And if you want to be there long-term, good luck making real connections if you don’t speak the language.

he did mention isolationist, so… we’d also have to consider how the eastern front would have evolved without lend-lease. not a historian so perhaps consensus is the Nazis still wouldn’t have had a chance, but still
surely this distribution should have some skew?

it’s a bit hard to tell. of the buildings still standing and in use, the cathedral comes to mind, with was consecrated in 1238, but it stands on the site of the old mosque. this was torn down apparently in 1262, at which point construction on the cathedral began, but it would take centuries to finish everything.
there is another church that was named a parish in 1245 and so was probably already standing then, so perhaps that building is the oldest? I don’t knoe how much of that original building is still standing though

I mean, this is also a particularly amateurish implementation. In more sophisticated versions you’d process the user input and check if it is doing something you don’t want them to using a second AI model, and similarly check the AI output with a third model.
This requires you to make / fine tune some models for your purposes however. I suspect this is beyond Gab AI’s skills, otherwise they’d have done some alignment on the gpt model rather than only having a system prompt for the model to ignore

X11 being reliable because Xorg devs aren’t stupid
Not gonna disagree with the rest of what you said, but the Xorg devs and Wayland devs are mostly the same people
Because you can’t (easily) program gui apps to automate tasks, but combining a few terminal programs to get more complex behaviour is really easy

It’s commonly used in some corners of computer science

Vpns rely on encryption, which this bill will undermine.

You could use jq, which will work no matter how the json is formatted.
Without trying it out, something like the following might work:
jq '.path.to.key.to.change |= 11' file.json > file.json.tmp && mv file.json.tmp file.json
if you’re aware there are countries where the options you’re talking about dont exist, maybe you also get why some people are so hung up on these banking apps?
