Actually, yeah, every year for them its released the summer of the following year.

Each subproject submits their own detailed overview of the prior year, including any conference/working group events, sprints, pictures from the same, mentorship progeams, major changes in individual projects, as well as detailed financials for where money came from, where the money went.

It generally will take a few months to compile that (especially when you’re talking an open source foundation with a multitude of groups under the umbrella), and then time to organize it all.

Even companies will take several months after the conclusion of their year to provide similar details in an annual review.

Its a bit late this year being in August, usually its June, but late spring to summer is when it gets released every year.

Edited to add: I think it even came out in October or November some years back. 2018? 2019? Something like that.

Generally speaking, you would produce a report recapping a year after that year is over, yes.

I’m just saying the percentage of those who may have been willing to pay is small enough to be irrelevant in the for-profit release perspective.

Netflix (when it first started streaming) and Steam (when sales included good older stuff for wildly cheap) showed that piracy is more of a service problem than anything else. A recent article called out the content problems (partial content, a few seasons behind a separate paywall, ads in the middle of playback, etc) a are directly related to an increase in piracy.

So my opinions on copyright aside - a clear model to a happy consumer is an affordable price without all the enshittification going on. People also dont like “buying” content that later disappears because of licensing changes.

So I’d put it squarely in the “their own damn fault” territory, and I’m glad when judges say “no” to them. I’ll take whatever positives I can get.

People who would likely not otherwise have paid, so no net change worth discussing.

Its referring to content in this case, not wealth.

As in lacking content, or only having parts of content (season 1 & 2, and then nothing until season 7).

Containers are little virtual machines (Docker, LXC, etc) that run a specific tool or group of tools.

Like having a little VM that Rand just qbitorrent, and you would access it via the webui rather than the desktop client.

Short version, dont worry about that for now, just bind your torrent client to the network interface of the VPN itself.

Sort of - its a kill switch specific to qbitorrent at that point, since the adapter isn’t working, qbittorrent won’t connect to anything. It will not impact anything else running though.

You could also make a container for the VPN connection, and have a qbitorrent container use the VPN containers networking, which would then leave other containers to make use of it as well. This is what I do, its a bit more complicated of a setup though.

Depends on how its done.

First check the audio tracks and see if there is one with a voice over and one with regular audio - if so, easy! Reencode and drop the unneeded track.

If not… Youre going to have a rough time, you’d be better off trying to find just the audio and aligning it.

Edit: or another copy of the show obviously.

The handy bit would be if you could find a crappy quality version, you can still pull the audio from there and align it with your copy. It may not be great audio and still require some degree of effort to sync properly with the video, but it would be a much more realistic effort than trying to remove speech from the same track.

Grab what you can, add to radarr and you’ll likely get the absolute bulk of them. There may be some odd ones out, and those are the ones I’d rip.

For the rips themselves, what I ended up doing for family tapes is a generic s-video capture device, ffmpeg to rip.

I capture for the full length of the tape, play it, take a peek that everything came in well, and find the end to trim (also ffmpeg).

Then that version I’ll make an archive, and I’ll transcode a copy for media server use.

Yeah there is no way I’d think “asterisk” with that logo, especially with an organization that is anti-everything in human sexuality. Aside from the one thing I’d agree with but they don’t seem to actually be interested in stopping.

Nothing that matters to the Naruto storyline, no. Filler episodes don’t impact the overall story, just some character focus bits about who they are.

You can always just read the summary for those episodes too.

What I would say among the fillers worth watching are:

• Naruto 101 is fantastic and could be considered canon with what happens later on in the story.
• Shippuden 349-361 is the kakashi back story. Its right in the middle of great story, but IMO worth watching. You could even watch this between Naruto and Shippuden.
• Shippuden 484-500 is adapted from official novels, so some call it filler, others call it canon. I’d recommend it.

Thats about it though. The rest are more of an “if you feel like it”.

Just delete the fully filler episodes and enjoy

If you’re trying to create an argument, I’m not remotely interested.

That is a lot more common than surgery to remove a belly button or nipples. I’ve known people who had done that with their eyes, so that doesn’t seem anywhere near as concerning to me.
