It blows my mind that the EU even considers anything Orban says. He is on Russia’s side in a war where the EU is supporting Ukraine. And has led Hungary to a level of authoritarianism that no longer coincides with the EU rules of acceptance. It isn’t shocking that this nazi would bring back a “law” so he has more control over his citizens. What is sad is that so many other EU countries think it is a good thing. It is an obvious and egregious attack on privacy, something the EU has defended in the past. It is a shame that world-wide the pendulum is swinging the wrong way.

192·1 year agoShe was on one of the teams that did if I remember correctly. I believe they split up into three teams and developed algorithms independently from one another. What surprised everyone was when they came back, all three teams had more or less the same image. It’s been a while so I may be wrong on some details. But it wasn’t just her is my point.
Yea. I think the hemp rope is a good idea. I got one with tennis balls on it but she chews the tennis ball fuzz of it when we aren’t playing tug. Just a rope might work though, so thank you for the suggestion!
Yea, she destroyed two Kongs so far. I got the strongest kong toy for peanut butter, and she hasn’t wrecked that yet.
I’ll check out the bark boxes.
Great suggestion!
I can understand this assumption, but this is just how she approaches any toy I give her. I have plenty of puzzle toys (food based) that I use and of course she is high energy so she gets plenty of exercise and play. But when it comes to non food toys, she just wrecks them.

Android@lemdro.id•Loss of popular 2FA tool puts security-minded GrapheneOS in a paradoxEnglish
511·1 year ago“We don’t want to punish users of alternative OSes, but there’s really no other option at the moment,” Wilden added before his blunt conclusion. “Play Integrity has absolutely no way to guess whether a given custom OS completely subverts the Android security model.”
Then don’t. Allow the user to choose what to do with their device and shut the fuck up and get out of the way. You are punishing users for using alternative OSes. That is exactly what you are doing.

2411·1 year agoClassic stuff, Apple. While I can wrap my head around them sucking off China since that is where all their child labor factories are, playing ball with Russia shows who they are. Glad I switched to an open source OS for my phone.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What are your top 3 purchases of all time?
401·2 years agoI bought a 97 Ford Taurus off a friend for $800 back in 2008. Her dad thought it was on its last legs at 155k miles so he wanted to sell it. I drove it for four years. It was running fine until someone blasted it out in front of my girlfriend’s house and drove off. At the time it had 206k miles. 50k miles for $800 was certainly one of my best purchases.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•People who can don't get mad and just go with the flow, how do you do it?
42·2 years agoSome good advice I heard once is that you can’t change what happens to you but you can change how you react to it. Bad things will happen but how you react to those things makes such an impact. Reacting positively to negative things happening affects not only your mood, but also how you deal with those things. It takes time to shift to this style of thinking but it will definitely improve your way of life.
If your concern is whether your cellphone carrier has the ability to see who you are calling and for how long, this is true whether you have a smartphone or a “regular” phone.

821·2 years agoWhile this is good news, the fight for privacy in the digital age will never end. They will continue to take small bites until they have the entire pie. Unfortunately we never (or rarely) regain any digital right to privacy that has been taken in the past. The best we can do is halt the further erosion of our digital privacy through vigilance, education and protest.

World News@lemmy.ml•Five years after killing a journalist in cold blood, Saudi Arabia is stronger than ever
85·2 years agoHow many PGA golfers lined up to join LIV golf sponsored by the Saudi regime? Last year this was Phil Mickelson simping for the Saudi government saying: “I certainly do not condone human rights violations. And addressing what happened to Jamal Khashoggi is awful. But I have seen the good that game of golf has done throughout history. And I really believe that LIV can be good for the game of golf as well.’’
Money trumps morals.

Partially tore three quadriceps muscles and two calf muscles break dancing at an arcade bar when I was black out drunk. Just didn’t know when to quit until it was too late. Both my primary doctor and the person who did the MRI thought it was hilarious. To be fair, it was.
