Every washing machine I’ve owned for the last 30 years has had a delayed start function and I’ve never used it once, if that simple function is useless I donno what else a WiFi connection could offer

People do some crazy stuff chasing dopamine

Do you think steam and devs are going to allow the transfer of a game on their platform without their cut?

I donno, has it?

Fucking hell, if D4 made the list it’s been a bad year for games.

I particularly like that he labels himself as ex-Founder of something… Either you established something or you didn’t, you can’t take it back motherfucker
God I was helping one of my kids with their tablet the other day, the browser had 196 tabs open… thats not even an exaggeration, 196. It was literally the first time I’ve ever used the close all tabs function on any browser.

I had a pretty cool encounter with one about 6-7 years ago, I was on a driving holiday and we were cruising throught the Ikara-Flinders Ranges National Park doing about 90-100km and one of these guys just casually comes up to my window, so close I could have grabbed it. It must have picked some drag effect off the van like a wake in the air or something and it was just gliding next to us with the occasional flap for a good 5 minutes until there was an incoming car and it ducked out

Yeah real gold. I sold it for around $3200 at the time, I did have a look after I commented and it’s worth just shy of $5100 today… probably should have held onto it
Edit: AUD that is

So I no longer work there but I worked 10+ years as Ops manager in international removals. Once a year we would do a stocktake on all the inbound freight locations, pull aside anything that was out of place and then try and find an owner, most of the items were returned to their owners. But every year there would also be a few items without any identification, I would set these aside myself in the warehouse and then the following year if still unclaimed I would take them home or throw it in the bin.
The best items are 3 x 1.5L bottles of Penfolds Grange & 50g bar of gold.
But other than that there are so many items, a limited edition Beatles Sargent Pepper’s marble pressing with all the inserts intact. Few antique gold mirrors. Artwork. Media centre PC. Dining table and chairs. 2 Herman Miller office chairs, that’s just the stuff I remember while looking around my house now

I love me some Minecraft, best $10 I ever spent, 11 years of free major updates so far and still going strong.
If you like the sandbox survival games Id recommend Medieval Dynasty, been playing this for the passed year, the survival part of it is pretty tame although you can adjust the setting to make it harder but I really like the village building / settler management aspect while still being a first person style game
It’s all fun and games until a plugger blows out

I’d still take half content without ads over full content with ads. Not like I know what I’m not seeing so can’t I really miss it?
There is no damage in your dog eating an hour later for one day, fuck even 25 hours late isn’t gonna hurt it
Ahh rip, I played the beta a few years ago then bought the game and never played it… Guess I better play a few games this weekend

And is it universes all the way down?

Hmm you can play lol on steam deck… I can suffer on the go now
I just use the floor

This is honestly insane. Australia has had online lodgement for I donno 15 years. Your employer salary/bonuses/tax withheld, private health insurance if you have it, welfare payments including unemployment, family tax benefits and child care rebates, Australian paid dividends including franking credits etc and probably more are all sent to the ATO and preloaded into your lodgement. If you have no deductible it honestly is as easy as logging in, enter your bank details(which wil be saved for next year) and click submit… even if you do have deductions it basically holds your hand working out each one and in some cases has built in calculators, like one example you put in how many km you drove a car and it fills out the deduction.
It even gives you a very accurate estimate on your refund or outstanding tax.
Ok setting the delay for off peak electricity actually does make a bit of sense
