Well, my brain seems to be affected by it according to that test (difference score of 11) if I interpret the scale correctly

But well, I also got autism and quite a few other mental conditions and learned all my life to cope quite well with all my disabilities; that’s why I specifically outsource direction question to a visualization that make the answer more tangible for me than listening to my intuition.

But well, what works for some doesn’t necessarily work for all. And probably my other conditions have some influence on it as well. We’re all different, after all; even if sharing a few traits.

That’s why I explicitly stated local.*

I get that. My intuition often mixes both up, too.

That’s why I trained myself to say “driver-side” and “passenger-side” in my head when left or right come up. To a point where I don’t even have to think about thinking about it. I just visualize which side of car is meant instead of the rather abstract concept of left and right

Well, that doesn’t mean it’s not done.

My sister had a few (more than 20 simultaneously) rats.

One rat got stuck with her tail in the cage, and the tail had to be amputated, or the rat would’ve died. There were a few complications during the operation, and the bill would have skyrocketed to more than 2k€. For a tiny rat.

Needless to say, my sister insisted the operation continue. Rat lived happily for another 18 months

While sometimes buggy and rough around the edges, and without offering many original ideas, the ensemble of everything they threw together is really good.

Sure, it’s far from perfect, and every other moment, you can see the quite heavy inspirations they got from popular franchises.

But it’s quite good.

While not surpassing any of its inspirations in the field they got inspired in, it offers all these other things the inspirations missed.

It’s parts may not be that good, but overall, it’s the combination of those parts that make it.

It’s debatable if they really understand it, or if they just press the buttons that make their humans happy. And dogs are really good in spotting even the tiniest clues in our body language

I doubt we are far enough to train ai for animal-human translation on more than a conceptual level, and I doubt that I would hear about it from dolphins for the first time.

I expect a widely covered story of translating dogs’ barks (or cats) first, and not in a “Hello Human, Welcome back home, I missed you. Please give me food” way (which would be probably fake) but just “Friend! Joy. Hungry”

And I don’t know how we could scientifcally differentiate a slur from a descriptive name on that conceptual level.

What I don’t doubt is that dolphins have slurs for humans.

I know that’s not what this comment section is meant for, but here we go:

I was kinda addicted (wrong word; but I don’t know a better one) to q-tips to the point I had (and still have) occasionally infections in my ears.

Many doctors just gave me antibiotic eardrops, which didn’t help for longer than a few weeks, and only reactively

Finally one doctor gave me an ear-spray; based on vinegar, alcohol and eucalyptus (iirc) that I now use after every shower/bath and it worked wonders as I somehow almost never felt the need to use a q-tip again.

So if you do way too much q-tips, maybe ask your doctor if he kan recommend one to you.

Wasn’t a problem in Montana, it landed in one piece.

I guess the problem is that while seemingly capable of flying and even sometimes landing w/o crash, these planes are not really good at deciding a direction they want to go in.

2FA is just a second password and has nothing to do with encryption. Can simply be removed.

They could bypass this authentication without problems, if they want. I lost my phone and my google business account got restored regardless of 2FA. It’s just a button for the support. The problem is the identification, especially of private customers (dunno if they would even do that).

Encryption passwords aren’t time-based either, they must be static.
