Ultimately, all “why” questions reach an and.
I see you have not recently interacted with a toddler in the “why” phase.

Generally yes. There are some financial remedies possible in this sort of case if the employee did anything reasonable for the new job. Like, if they quit an old job they wouldn’t otherwise have or moved, they would have a potential case, since there was no actual reason they were immediately fired. If they didn’t already have a job and didn’t move, they’d probably be SOL unless they live in like California.

“Hey, jet setters! Today, we’re going to be traveling across the United States in our own private railcar… attached to an Amtrak service!”
-Jeb, probably
Apparently “do the work for the exposure” has reached the startup bro community.
“Help us build a new million dollar company from the ground up but keep zero equity” is certainly an interesting pitch.

My local library is right next to a couple schools and, in the afternoons, functions as a really wholesome third space for a fair number of kids. Both free and hopefully inspires several of them to get into reading as a hobby.
Even if I didn’t use the library, that would be an excellent use of my tax dollars.

The Nauru article linked also points out that the large amount of mining has done away with most of what little arable land there was, making traditional garden culture impractical at scale. So, they sort of have to be dependent on foreign food imports, largely the kind you mention.

Rarely. I don’t think I ever have two years in a row.
Usually only if I’m very sure it’s a game I will get a lot of playtime out of due to past titles. For instance, I did pre-order Civ 7 because prior Civs have been the best hours-enjoyed-per-dollar investments I’ve ever made. No exaggeration, even accounting for DLCs I bought at full price.

It helps that there’s a pretty robust modding community. It gives the game good replayability, in addition to all the improvements and changes CDPR have made. Sure, a huge percentage of the mods are sexy outfits, but that’s pretty normal for a heavily modded game.

Can’t argue with that.

I’m sure without context ytmnd.com seems insane.

I am getting back into MTG currently after a nearly twenty year lapse. I do like much of how it’s evolved, but every fucking card is a novel now. The math isn’t ever that bad, but it feels like you need a notebook to understand all the cards on the battlefield during a game.
I’m sure with control over all government branches again they’ll have the ACA completely replaced in no time. For real this time.
I don’t think he even attempted to do math. Someone asked him about it and said what the current budget was, and he just rectally sourced 2 trillion. I assume he said that because it’s big enough to sound huge, but less than half of spending so people don’t panic that everything will be cut.
It’s meaningless bullshit until he actually says specifically what will be cut. Republicans have been claiming they can cut huge chunks of spending for years, but it never materializes. They only know how cut government income without paying for it.

I don’t think this individual understands what a hobby is. Your job by definition is not a hobby.

This reminds me of a person I worked with who would wait until the evening to reply to most emails. I assumed this was so at every morning standup they could say they were waiting on someone else to get back on something.
How much parmesan did you grate over the brussel sprouts after they came out of the oven? Whatever amount it was, you didn’t do enough. Also if you forgot lemon zest, add some too.
Never saw any before this year. I don’t get how they survive because they are the slowest, dumbest bugs I’ve ever seen. They just loudly splat onto the ground out of nowhere and flail about while I stomp them into a pulp.

Also to increase the length of time you are on the page. Dwell time factors into SEO. It’s really an all of the above thing though.

I have no clue how he’s this quickly been able to have such a positive attitude and sense of humor about it. I’d be despondent in his shoes.
I suppose I shouldn’t be too surprised; Clint always brings such enthusiasm and positivity to his videos. He’s a go-to when I’m sick. He’s like chicken noodle soup in video form.
It doesn’t need to be an either-or situation. We can attack the problem from multiple sides, since there’s isn’t a silver bullet. New housing absolutely has to be part of it, but obviously it’s not super helpful if the new stock isn’t affordable or practical for average people.
Counterproductive regulations (restrictive zoning, vetocracy setups) have prevented environmentally sensible and affordable housing from being added in sufficient quantities in most of the US for a long time. We have more people living in smaller households than we used to; it just doesn’t math without adding new stock.
