Yup. I don’t regret doing it, and the short duration was one of the things that pushed me over the edge. I wasn’t looking to exit reality for hours at a time. It was an… interesting and instructive experience, but I didn’t feel the need to repeat it again. DEFINITELY have a sober sitter with you, I was apparently trying to throw myself off the stairs.

I’d still install security updates but hold off on the bigger, optional updates until some time has passed. I don’t quite fancy being MS’s unpaid beta tester.

I think they might eat the extra costs because they know they’ll more than recuperate it from increased software sales. Hell, XboX as a console was a loss leader for MS for over a decade.

Doubt they’ll be that pricey. I think they’re aiming for 600ish or thereabouts. I’m not the target audience (beefy gaming pc) but I love the concept and what it’ll do to further indie gaming. It’ll probably also pull people from consoles to pc gaming. Valve can’t stop winning.
