My work had something like this to detect drug usage on premises for a while (it was and is a problem still) and it costed like 30k capital and 2-3 opex a year. We had it for like a year and only took it out because there were too many false flags and security didn’t and doesn’t have the staff to be chasing down every alert anyway.

It was neat that on paper it was able to detect different drugs, heroin, weed, meth all flagged different alerts with 2 of those contacting police when detected. Unfortunately it was only like 70% accurate and we didn’t/don’t have enough security staff to use it properly so it’s gone now.

It’s important to remember that the lore books are intended to be tinged as propaganda by the narrator. Of course the imperium will say it’s angels of death are semi-gods of the battlefield, but in reality armor only stops so much and a 7ft tall slab muscle walking tank is impressive, but a carnifex is still gonna carry its weight on the field as well and fuck up some astartes

Those upgrades clearly weren’t up to snuff. The game may have ended up profitable but it certainly wasn’t the next Skyrim from community feedback. They dumped a ton of money into it but it won’t have the money printing longevity of Skyrim

Problem with starfield is the content was small and sprinkled into an ocean of game. MAYBE with a smaller world to build in they’ll be ok, though I agree, low hope here

That’s true and I agree to an extent… they really need to build a new engine for whatever release is next, starfield proved that the current one won’t cut it. People are tired of these tiny cities and copy/paste dungeons everywhere.

The next big Bethesda title should coincide with the new engine launch if Todd has his witts still. It also shouldn’t be 2030 before we see that new engine…

Yea mine isn’t plug in either, still get mid 40s mpg though which is great. 600 miles on a tank is fantastic for an suv. I might’ve gotten plug in but the dealers didn’t want to or couldn’t answer any questions on them and really fet like they didn’t want to show/sell them

Must’ve been an addition on newer models then, I’ve heard it on a few others and the ford dealership says they have to have it. Some quick googling right before buying it brought up forums where ford owners figured out how to disable it though

Mines a 2021 escape, as soon as it’s put into reverse it has external beeps like a box truck to warn people since it’s in electric propulsion and makes almost no noise.

Apparently with a laptop and some time you can disable the loud ass reverse beeping Ford makes their hybrids do. Probably illegal but it’s super annoying sounding like a giant work truck to back up my escape and no cop is going to say anything if my car doesn’t beep since 99% of consumer cars don’t do it

Female adeptes custodes not Space marines. Makes little difference in the large picture but it’s possible within the lore to have female custodians as they’re all humans picked at birth and genetically altered/enhanced individually to make the best soldier they could ever be. GW just didn’t mention females being in that order for 30 years apparently lol

Space marines are all male though, have been explicitly stated as being all male repeatedly and even recently with lore backing of the some of the organ implants and genetic modification templates only work on males since they’re based off the primarchs who were all male as sons of the emperor of mankind.

I’ll end with saying that GW has done great with inclusion in recent years, even explicitly telling Nazis to go find another hobby if they don’t like that GW is making warhammer and warhammer 40k for everyone, of all races, genders, and religions. They’ve always had racial representation and some manner of gender representation in the guard and eldar but now they’re expanding and I’m all for it. I have no issues with any of it so long as GW doesn’t just say ignore the last ~40 years of established lore and even recent lore issuances because we would like to sell more models.

I thought they announced they were making the patent public so other companies could make the blade stop mechanisms and hopefully save more lives/body parts
