The problem is that at those prices, a PC is a more logical purchase. PS6 will have to be priced similar to PS5, or it will underperform dramatically.

My recent realization is that the very high-end of the GPU market is totally unnecessary. A 4070 can play practically any game at 4K with decent framerates. And if you are fine with just “high” settings instead of maxed out, at very good framerates too.

Google is basically ran like Boeing. Their goal is to maximum the stock price regardless of long-term consequences.

MS is ironically breaking up several big publishers and creating a slew of small, independent game studios. Basically out of their own incompetence. It silently heralds a new and hopefully much better era in gaming.
Also, it’s time to seriously wonder about the future of the Xbox console. It seems hopeless at this point. It probably has too small of a marketshare to justify any exclusives, even first-party ones. You wonder when MS will have to just admit that it is a PC in a box, and begin selling it as one.

Blizzard has nothing to show.

Literally Goodhart’s Law in action.

Honestly, Microsoft bought them because they thought it can magically catapult them to #1 in the gaming industry. And they have, in a sense. The advantage of having so much money that you can buy your way into the industry. But the problem is that Microsoft has no idea what to do next.
They didn’t vote for him the last time. Or the time before then. Occam’s razor overwhelmingly favors polling error.
There’s zero chance that that poll was conducted properly. It claims that Trump is getting more Black support than any Republican since Eisenhower this year. That even includes Trump himself from both 4 and 8 years ago!
Block all Tankies and move on. They’re not real people with real viewpoints. There is no point in conversing with them.

Yes. And it will be replaced by $80-100 games.

Cheating of this sort is almost always about someone who is already very good at the game. But it’s simply not enough. They want to be the greatest, or do the impossible. They want to be legends instead of just being really good. And usually the only way to do that is to cheat.

Graphics are no longer a major selling point in most cases. Most people would be fine with a good game that works and isn’t saddle with microtransactions, even if it means it will look somewhat worse.

This is the same conversation we had throughout the entire rumorwave about this project: Who is going to buy this and which developers will actually anything worthwhile with the new hardware? Because all signs points to an expensive console (at least $600) with the only upgrades being a slight graphical bump and higher resolution. There are no new gameplay features.
I think people would be much more happy with a smaller, more power efficient version of the PS5 instead.

Very cherry-picked voting data. Rural Texas and New York after a huge scandal are very underwhelming examples.

Polling has become a mess, mainly because we can no longer rely on landlines for generating unbiased samples. Most attempts at fixing this issue, such as online polling, have their own massive biases. So it’s incredibly difficult to figure out what’s real and what’s not. And no, doing a hundred bad polls or increasing the sample size won’t fix it. Bias in the data can only be fixed by figuring out a way of creating truly fair samples.

The formal news section of the NY Post is not that different than the NY Times. It’s just not the focus of the NYP. And the NYT isn’t reporting anything beyond the most basic of news events. It’s pretty much the same thing as reading the AP. I can’t remember the last time they got a real scoop or any inside sources on anything.

I haven’t read anything from the NYT that would constitute “actual journalism” in what seems like many years now. It’s not much different than the NY Post, just with less bombast.
Except I can totally see them committing securities fraud in order to pump up the numbers. It seems very much like something they would do.
Most of their games come out on PC now. We are not far off from some SteamOS based PC that works like a console. Sony would be crazy to think they can charge the same price.
