Thanks I hate it.

I have one, replaced a perfectly good Fold3 that I’ve had since launch. but I’ve put it in a fat case to take up some of the camera thickness.
But I wish they would do something like a Fold LITE without the cameras. Just put a basic lower end camera on the back with no bump. I don’t care if it’s only as good as an old Note 9 (their last flagship with a flat back!) that’s more than enough camera for me and I like using my fold in tablet mode flat on a desk.

don’t use Brave.
Yes its a decent piece of software made by some properly smart industry experts but I have zero faith in them on a personal trust level. The CEO (despite his amazing resume and past accomplishments) is an arsehole, a bigot, a crypto-scammer and a science denier.

The data-point that someone is using a dumbphone or actively trying to minimise/restrict profiling is a very important and valuable profiling data-point itself.

Same issue hit me, some government and banking services wouldn’t accept my .info and .services domains, so I have a backup .com for those.
Wish I didn’t need it though, its 2025.

I use Ad-Guard instead of Pihole because the pi-hole software used to be missing some of the DNS features I wanted at the time, and I just stuck with it ever since. I have the main DNS server running on my Unraid Box, and a backup that runs on my HomeAssistant Pi4B.

I have .solutions and .info domain emails that still gets denied by some services, especially anything government or public utility, pain in the arse.
You’d think that at least .info would be pretty well accepted by now.

I’m quite fond of One MoЯn Time and No ones MoЯn, actually the whole UnmoЯnables album.

I played Crysis on a Vuzix VR920 in around 2008, that was my first VR other than a virtual boy.
Dual 640x480, frame interleaved 3d at 30hz per eye! if you drop a single frame the eyes got out of sync and switched! I think I had dual 9600GTs at the time and it struggled. I think it also struggled on the dual 9800GTX+ I had after that.
head tracking was purely gyro/accelerometer based and worked very poorly.

That is awesome.
I played descent 1 and 2 for hours on end back in the day, never got to play 3 as I didn’t have a 3d card yet and they dropped the software renderer option.

Usually means “yes this works in theory but only for very specific operations at limited scales that aren’t all that important so it’s not worth pursuing seriously”

I mean, we know the absolute limits of computational efficiency thanks to the Landauer limit and the Margolus–Levitin theorem, and from those we know that we are so far from the limits that it is practically unfathomable.
If they can show some evidence that they can perform useful calculations 100x more efficiently than whatever they chose to compare against (definitely a cherry picked comparison) then I’ll give them my attention, but others have made similar claims in the past then turned out to be in extremely specific algorithms that use quantum calculations that are of course slower and less efficient on any traditional computer.

I just pull no more than an album at a time from people usually. spread it out, come back the next day etc. If you aren’t sure, use the chat function and ask them if they are OK with you queuing up more than a couple of full albums at a time.
I share freely, no restrictions other than bandwidth cap and use a round robin to allocate upload slots to people, so if someone does queue up a hundred gigs of flacs from me (in my library that can be a single artist) it doesn’t block everyone else for a week.

Um. You got a picture of that plugged into the tv?
I’ve never seen that on the LGs I’ve seen, and I’m an AV technician.

There was a panasonic (I think it was them) that had a Displayport connection, but that didn’t last.
I suspect HDMI threatened to cut their licence if they kept putting DP on the TVs.

I’d prefer an easily removable battery, headphone jack, upgradable storage, etc etc. not just a thin phone with a thick case on it.

I consider cases an unfortunately necessary evil.
I prefer to go raw most of the time.

I like bigger phones, but I hate camera bumps.
Just make the damn thing thicker and flat on the back.
I miss my note 9, the last flat backed flagship phone.

I like it, it’s a bit over the top at times though. It felt like a flawed prototype of what became JJ trek films later on, which while flawed on their own were much more successful at being the big action blockbuster Nemesis was trying to be, but ended up out of character and style for the TNG crew.
the fitgirl love is part of the whole meme.
in reality the person behind fitgirl is unhinged as fuck and that is very entertaining.
