Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind?
I haven’t watched it in years but damn, the feels.
Celery tastes like that too me as well, but no allergy. I can eat it with no negative effects, other than the fact that I’ve had to taste celery.
It’s been a while since I looked at this, but different color pills “work” better for different ailments. Also the size and numbers of pills effect results as well. Two pills are “stronger” than one, bigger pills over smaller as well.

12·2 years agoHam, pineapple, onions, green peppers, and jalapenos, no sauce. One of my favorite pizzas.
There’s enough goodness that you really don’t need pizza sauce on it, or at least I’ve never come across a sauce that works with pineapple. But the flavors and textures work well together.

11·2 years agoSimilarly, I have an iPhone. It was provided by my employer for work purposes. It’s about as enjoyable as having a small stone in my shoe that can’t be removed. Oh, and the other shoe is half a size too small.
My Pixel is so much easier and makes more sense. I carry both when working and use the iPhone only when absolutely necessary.

When it always comes down to 2 choices, it ends up being not much of a choice. 😐
Roasty caffeine 😁. Mmmmmm…

9·2 years ago“cheesy vanilla flavor with bits of corn”
That is seriously not helping lol. I will concede though that it could be one of those things better tasting than you would imagine. Like the first time I tried the off the cob version of elote (Mexican Street corn.) A cup of hot corn with mayo, cheese, and chili powder? I thought it sounded bizarre at the time but holy shit - I ate the hell out of it and wanted more lol.
Yep - our bodies turn the thermostat up, increasing metabolism/cellular functions, which increases body temperature. Fatigue slows us down as our bodies redirect resources towards supporting our immune systems and producing cells to fight off the infection, vs spending that energy on being mentally and physically active.
Once our bodies get a handle on things, the fever “breaks” and we start recovery and return to homeostasis.

31·2 years agoFwiw (I live in Illinois) over the years our system was updated with materials and redundancies to counter loss of service during storms. There’s been a number of times over the last few years that a bad storm hits and does damage that previously would have created a loss of power, but you can watch the power flicker for a few seconds while the system tests alternate routes that are able to continue to provide service to the most residents. There was a time that power outages were expected a few times a year during bad storms, but I can’t recall the last time we had a weather related outage of more than a few minutes.
Obviously local to the damage there nothing to do but wait for the infrastructure to be repaired, but that happens far faster when there’s redundancies supplying the majority and fewer repairs that need to be addressed.

3·2 years agoWell, there is a “solution” in the works. It’s currently not required for my position and will only initially apply to Medicare (or Medicaid - don’t recall which) patients.
The hospital provides field staff with cell phones. There’s an app we’re just getting training on that will time stamp our visits, travel, and mileage, as well as track GPS for verification of visits. It will also flag and ask for clarification if travel time exceeds expectation.
Currently we self report, so if I stop at McDonald’s because I have to pee, it’s nobodies business. Many of my coworkers are less than thrilled with the new app (honestly most aren’t that fond of tech or changes to begin with) even though management is attempting to reassure that they’re really not intending to track us, it’s just for patient verification (for the very small percentage of patients it applies to.)

No, it sounds right. There’s matcha, but with the acid from the lemonade curdling the milk, it’s used to clump shit together so that the drink can be filtered and clarified. I’ve never tried it, but I’ve seen the technique used a number of times.
