It’s possible, but the psychiatrist has a strong financial incentive to give a profitable diagnosis. Since there isn’t any consequences, why wouldn’t they? What do they care if their patient ties their identity to a lie or becomes addicted to amphetamine?

Autism has been trending lately. A similar trend occurred with bipolar disorder; nearly 100% of people in rehabilitation clinics have this diagnosis. The most likely reason for this trend is insurance fraud. An insurance company will pay more to treat a suicidal bipolar autist then they will to treat an addict with a transient anxiety disorder.
Another factor is patient expectations. When a parent or patient pays for a psychiatrist, they expect a diagnosis. They don’t want to be told that they are normal and fine.
I just used Tundra as a filler for “cold as shit” areas. The temperate region will basically move further up north from the equator.
…granted, having more valuable land isn’t necessarily a good thing once you consider your neighbors.
At this point the countries in temperate climates would seal their borders. The people living near the equator will become stuck, dependent on the the richer nations for their very survival. Once the effects of global warming began creeping up toward the United States and Europe, we will use our superior firepower to force an oil embargo on weaker nations.
It’s going to be fucked up and evil, but it’s unlikely to be uniformly bad for everyone. From an economic perspective, alot of people will benefit.
If you live in Russia or Canada, global warming is a gift from God that will convert useless tundra into a fertile paradise. Everything is relative.

28·2 months agoPersonally, I think food is cheap enough. I spend roughly 5% percent of my paycheck on food, and I am not eating like a pauper. If safer food and happier chickens meant I needed to spend 6% of my paycheck on food, then so be it.

3·3 months agoThanks for this. I just realized I was recently the victim of fraud. I need to be on the lookout for a class action lawsuit.
I’m a chemist. A quantum dot is a specific structure in which a specifically sized particle gives off a specific color. One element can be used to display multiple colors since the color is a result of the size of the particle. What they’re doing is equivalent to selling lamb meat that is made out of pork. Fraud.
Whenever I see an update on these sort of articles, the planet always ends up being a tide-locked hell-scape full of toxic chemicals.

2·3 months agoI’m pretty sure it’s common for people to write phonetically. I commonly write “are” instead of “our”, but I fix most of my mistakes during an edit. The “it’s” mistake is also common, although that’s usually a problem with my phone’s auto complete.
Hygiene literally means practices that maintain health. Saying “we are healthy by maintaining better hygiene” literally means “We maintained our health by engaging in practices that maintained our health.”
Testosterone administration is more illegal pharmaceutical use then it is a fad diet. It’s also not particularly dangerous. The safety profile is similar to hormonal birth control.
Born again woman?
…I don’t think I’ve ever met a man in real life that ate a fad diet. They eat hamburger helper and take out.
I don’t get why the Nazis are still so relevant. They have been gone for about a century. There was nothing special about Nazi Germany; all humans kill or support killers when their base needs aren’t met and it’s in their financial self-interest.
This doesn’t just apply to humans. It’s an immutable law of being an animal.
