I understand that but we also know what the trident middle system on that ship can do and what it carries. That single sub out-powers most countries.
While I understand it is nuclear powered, I also assume it has a full payload. Even if not. The optics after an Israeli minister says there are no civilians and nukes are on the table aren’t good for us to be engaging like this. He may have been suspended, but the rhetorics right now are not acceptable.
Instead of pushing for a solution, we move nukes??? It’s time to push back on the military industrial complex and get diplomats working.
And instead of ships with aid, we have warships within view.
Yes, a 14.6 billion dollar arms pledge for Israel and a 100M pledge for aid for Gaza. The first trucks went on Saturday. 500 trucks a day normally pass and the US vetoed the ceasefire resolution to allow aid in so the trucks are barely moving, maybe 20 per day. What will the aid be worth when people starve. Woman having babies without hospitals, cancer centers out of drugs, people being operated on without anesthesia. Biden’s language has been inflammatory and encouraging this tragedy to expand. Compared to Obama, Clinton, or Carter, I can’t even recognize Biden as a Dem.
Biden is sending bombs to Israel, does that count… shameful on us.
And people downvote. The aid is stuck on the border as the US vetoed a humanitarian ceasefire, food, water, electricity have been cut of which is against international law, and yesterday Israel bombed the Greek Orthodox church. Imagine being a woman where they won’t let feminine hygiene products in and no water. They think of these people as animals and humiliate them constantly.
On Christmas Day, it is time to reflect on what Christ would have wanted. I doubt bombing the descendants of his friends and family would be it.
