Quite possibly. Pink and green is right — it looks like a nineties music video lol. I’ll pay closer attention to the filename next time it happens (it all comes in via *arr, you see), and maybe I can find a way to filter them out of the searches…

I’m glad this brings you joy, but
Keyboard-driven workflow
is not something I’m looking for when I unwind with a movie

I tried using Gmail through Thunderbird, but the problem is that the filtering is web UI only

Do you believe in schmapoopy? Direct answers only please

I believe that people have experiences they can’t explain, and that this happens far more often than most would imagine. Imo a lot of it has to do with how our minds handle probability — we imagine that ‘highly improbable’ things never happen, at least not to us, so when they do, we experience it as ‘supernatural’
It works in Minecraft

Damages your enamel too…

Is this a bit

It’s often used misleadingly. For example, in an election in a de facto two-party system, it’s often said that you should vote for ‘the lesser evil’, but this presumes that your vote will decide the result of the election, which it clearly won’t. Thinking e.g. “the Dems winning would be the lesser evil compared to the Republicans winning, and I’m voting third party (or spoiling or even abstaining)” is therefore entirely coherent imho.
I would like to see it used more to describe political situations outside of the West tbh. When we talk about x regime, it should always be ‘compared to what’. But of course, no-one cares about ‘lesser evils’ in this context, which I think says a lot.
Hmm if you plan on using streaming services it’s a massive hassle tbh. You can get away with using web apps with some sort of launcher, but even then you can’t watch things in 4K because the DRM has a hardware component these days.

We’d have to define ‘sentient’ before we start worrying

It’s so great having stuff just show up in your library as it becomes available

Lots of good points in the replies here, but I want to make the perhaps secondary point that the automation of thought is generally just bad for you. Dgmw AI (even LLMs) has its uses, but we’re already seeing the atrophying effects on some people, and in my experience as a teacher I have seen a number of people for whom chat bot dependency has become a serious problem on a par with drug addiction. I dread to think what’s going to happen to these people when we enter the ‘jack up the prices’ phase of the grift, let alone the ‘have you considered product/voting X may solve your problems’ phase, which is currently only being held back by engineering difficulties.

Libraries aren’t even allowed to stock all the books they need owing to exorbitant license fees, so I don’t see a publicly-funded, community cloud getting any purchase this side of a revolution, sadly.
Cursed solution to a cursed problem 🤷
They have to work with Adobe. Or any of the big musical instrument sample libraries.
