The Transporter has a pattern buffer. Why didn’t they just keep copying one Redshirt guy to save lives. Like Mickey 17.
“Time for an away mission Redshirt.”
But they don’t tell him where, and then put him in the buffer. He will just, always be ready.

I watched (some of) TOS recently. And it basically erased one of my complaints about Discovery being “The Michael Burnhan Show.” Because boy TOS is literally “The James Kirk Show.” Like, Spock is there, McCoy is mostly there, but everyone else felt really really like, quintary, not even Secondary, just way way down the line.
I feel like everyone remembers Trek as “ensemble cast” from the movies and TNG on.

Dude wasn’t even there until halfway through.

We’re gonna need some more Starfleet vessels.

They also just sort of stand around until provoked, so you could transport a few hundred sword welding soldiers over on a cube and count of three, lop their heads off all at once.

I actually wonder sometimes why they don’t use swords against the Borg.

Can you get pregnant/get the holograms pregnant?

Or, just beam them over but mimic that time they turned Picard into a child. Then train the kid to be nicer and achieve diplomacy.
If that does not work, put them in the pattern buffer but put it on a drive that is prone to bit rot so they slowly start losing small pieces of their data/themselves until they surrender from the pain.

Incredibly dubious historical battle
Are you implying that the nation was not formed on the back of a rap battle my good sir?

Facebook isna US company operating from the US. In this case, laws of other countries do not matter.

LOL, WTF is that photo.

I am convinced the terms “generic” and “off brand” are both psyops to get people more into big brands.
Maybe its better. I have used it off and on for like, 20 years or more now. It was crap for a looong time.

Finding things just feels unintuitive. Like I can never find how to do a basic task like cropping. Or resizing a layer, it does shit like grabs the layer under sometimes, ir just resizes the selection box instead of the selection.

Yeah butlike, I am using Calc, and I use the arrows, and it just, moves the view instead of which cell is selected, which feels really backwards.

I mean, sort of? I picked up Affinity Photo from Photoshop pretty quick because the UX isn’t crap.

Does the UX still suck though?
If I understand it right, its just the basement space. The actual house is not really touched. So any windows were probably up high anyway as the rest was underground anyway.
But now they have a taller usable basement space. Instead of what was essentially a “tall crawlspace”.
I can’t imagine they lowered the actual house floor to make the main house taller. Indon’t think that is even really possible. Plus I doubt you could legeally sell a house with 6" ceilings on the main floor (in most places).
Because we have reached some sort of critical mass of ad blocking and anonymization online, enough that it’s starting to hurt the bottom line, so they need a solid way to track people for that shit.
Also, the US is currently being run by a rabid pack of puritan Christo fascists, ie Project 2025. Right now it’s “protect the children”, but ultimately the idea is to track and sensor and “reeducate” people.
“Oh, you search for ‘signs I am gay’? Better report to God Camp.”
Don’t even think about trying to be anything that does not fit in the box.
