Completely agree. I find GNOME just annoying, ugly, and in some places inconsistent.
KDE/i3/Sway 4evarr!
You can prove it by boiling the water in different ways, putting a thermometer inside and then filming/timing it :D

Linux@lemmy.ml•Because of something I did during an anthropology lecture, I learned the hard way to read the "The following packages will be REMOVED" list when upgrading a package to backports in Debian GNU + Linux.

3·1 year agoI’ve been obsessed by it for the past 80 hours of playtime but am growing tired of it. All the CC is just annoying me and how some heroes require so much counter itemizing just for existing. Every game is starting to feel the same.
We’ll see what the future brings but right now I personally have no desire to play at all.
What was the comment? That the source is untrustworthy? Why was it removed?
You completely missed the point.
This was about the elegance of the answer, not the answer itself.
You can abstract everything down to that level, doesn’t make it any more right.

You’re assuming that they don’t know that, lol. They do. It does not matter because people keep shoving money up their ass and number goes up.

Definitely Signals Music Studio. Really great guy and an excellent guitar teacher for harmony and song writing stuff.
He puts out a lot for free so I feel more than justified to send some money his way - his teaching has been instrumental (heh) for my progress and understanding of music.
You need to check out public key cryptography and digital signatures. Those are the basics of Fido.
When the private key is bound to a device it is not possible to fake or steal it through conventional methods. Passwords are the weakest link and an easy target for attackers - passkeys basically solve that.
User adoption depends on implementation, but everything is easier than remembering a secure password or using a password manager for most people. There needs to be an easy and secure way to distribute passkeys across devices, and any backup mechanisms may be a weak point. In any case: still better than passwords.
That’s your choice of perspective and it makes your life harder :)

Graphene is by far the most technically secure option and it allows you to choose for yourself how much google you want on your phone. But you need a google phone. Lineage, as far as I know, is “just” a custom ROM with more device flexibility.
My experience with Lineage is very old and I’ve been running Graphene for more than a year now. So take it with that in mind.
