Voyager clearly got pretty crazy after I stopped watching! I’ll have to watch it one day.
It surely gets “zanier” over time as the writers give up, but this is also holodeckery’ at its finest.
The context is this is a holographic character from a (in-universe fictional) holoprogram for children.
I uhhh, hope he’s supposed to be on fire like that or some kids are going to have some messed up memories.
I forget the precise context, but I’m guessing the water guy (who someone else posted a picture of in the comments) helps put him out. A lesson about friendship or some shit.
