Tuvix did not have the consent of Tuvok nor Neelix. You must also consider that Tuvok has a wife and family. Neelix too has a relationship with Kes. Janeway did nothing wrong.
Q shows up and says I will bring them back to life and in exchange I will erase some random Starfleet member from the timeline and make it as if they never existed.
And that’s why they never mention it in any other episode. Because Janeway fucked up and they just want us all to forget about it. But we will never forget.
im just gunna pepper this here. its been a minute.

The way I think about the scenario is this.
I’m guessing no…
Except that third random was created by Q to sacrifice because he enjoys the moral dilemma and they never would have existed otherwise.
I swear if they made Tuvix less odd-looking, people would be against murdering him

So Janeway could have saved Kes and she chose not to
Janeway let Tuvix survive as long as she did. That was pretty fucked up.
As I recall it took them a few weeks to figure out how to reverse the problem, it’s not like she kept him around for a few weeks for her amusement.
It was for Parkotay’s amusement, iirc. They eventually got better at using the transporter.
How could he have gotten their consent before existing?
