A team of behavioral scientists at Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, in Brazil, has found via survey results that people view men who drive luxurious cars as having a higher mating value and other positive attributes. In their study, reported in the journal Personality and Individual Differences, the group conducted two surveys involving people driving expensive cars.

    Weird dehumanizing language.

It might reflect a dehumanising perspective in people: see nice car -> suddenly attracted to driver.

Well they’re wrong. My minivan clearly demonstrates that I have more mating value.

I would think the opposite. Someone who typically flaunts money via expensive crap doesn’t actually have money. They are also the typical ones to not pay contractors for work done and have high egos where you just don’t want to be around them. They have fake personalities and will stab you in the back to get new tires for their shitbox.

Having the credit in the first place is the flex here.

Women dont give a fuck about nice cars but they care about financial stability a whole lot.

Was the study sponsored by luxury car manufacturers/dealers/insurers by any chance?

Don’t really have the time to go through this right now

But is it basically “this person looks like they’re well off, they might provide a more comfortable life”? Or was the "expensive car’ part important

What about women with expensive cars?

Right, there are none because women usually put their money into smarter places. :)

I know many women with expensive cars. It’s almost like women are individual people too, and have their own tastes and interests.
