Yes, reddit is very anti-AI, you goober. I barely use the site anymore, and even I know that. How a daily user would miss that is beyond me.

WTF is a “fractional CTO”? My first guess is he’s 1/10 of the CTO and chatbots are the rest.
A guy offering CTO services as a part time service to multiple different companies
Nice
scamgog, I guess. Dude’s probably just feeding his emails to Claude then copy-pasting the responsesThey work for multiple companies. Common in small to mid size startups looking for direction on how larger operations do business and help bring in technology investment who probably don’t have money to get an experienced cto with connections.
Thusly, NOT a CTO. They just misspelled “hourly gig tech worker”. They’re like the Uber drivers of technology.
It’s always odd to me when you have someone who gives themself a C-suite title when they work for a company without a corporate board. That’s kind of the deal. If you’re a “chief” of anything, that means you’re actually an officer of the company with specific duties like signing stock certificates, etc. Most of these structures are set up by the MCBA.
You can declare yourself chief of upper buttcrack, but I don’t imagine anyone would be fooled by the title.
👌👍
Exactly this. A CTO that uses AI and doesn’t know that he should have left reddit 10 years ago is a mediocre CTO.
☝️
Not gonna lie your username got me.
Only because both Balzac, Alberta and Harry’s Razor Both exist, so I thought you were some odd wearhouse name. Because thats all Balzac has, wearhouses.
Anyways, you got me.
I appreciate it. It took me minutes to come up with it.
Prob just a start up called Fractional but I could also see a poorly run business trying to get cheap labor via title inflation
Always amazes me how much people will mouth off over things they have no clue about especially when there are several correct answers. Massive adhd shit.
CTO of a division of the company
Not what they were asking and you are not correct. It’s the chief technology officer. You know a person.
I was wrong, yeah, but what do you mean by “You know a person”?
Not the person who wrote it, but I think this punctuation might better convey a likely meaning:
The CTO is a person and not a department.
Oh right, I know that. I just thought the fractional bit meant they were the CTO of a division of the company.
Oh, like they’re a CTO of a fraction of the company? No, I think it means a fraction of the person is a CTO of the company, or, more precisely, a fraction of their work hours.
