Reminder that Data only kills in defense of himself or others. In this scene he used the phaser on a piece of architecture (an aqueduct iirc).
It did doom the colony to either displacement, or slow death by dehydration though
Is this the episode where Data blows up a pipeline or something, then points out that the invading force will hit them with greater weapons from orbit, and the colonists will die “having never seen the face of their enemy”?
