In Stargate SG-1 S10E6 “200”, during the puppet bit, there is a quick shot with Walter typing on a computer by wiggling his puppet hands over the keyboard. If you pause and look at the keyboard, a bunch of the keys spell out “ALEX SUCKS DICKS”.

This is likely an inside joke at the expense of the writer and script coordinator Alex Levine. Or perhaps they were actually advertising their own services.

That appears to be an IBM (or possibly later Lexmark or Unicomp) Model M.

They are unusual in that the mechanism itself is arched so all the keycaps are the same shape and can be reordered neatly.

If you tried a similar play with most other keyboards, the keys would stick up at uneven angles and it would look weird

The model M has two-layered keycaps. The top surface with the printing mounts onto a smaller blank keycap underneath. Changing the layout doesn’t even require tools, you can just pull them off by hand.

Its by far the easiest keyboard to change the layout that I am aware of.

Ah, is that why there is a blank key to the right of the DICKS keys? It does look a little smaller than the rest, so that makes sense that this key was just missing the top layer.

Maybe but I hate it when they don’t include their phone number, like what am I supposed to do with this limited information, do I just stand here and hope Alex eventually shows up or what
