really disappointed with the fact that if you create an account, if you choose to delete it later you have to e-mail them with a request (wtf?)

Additionally - adding to the list of things that are a letdown is their website uses google analytics (wtf again)
Teddit is no longer maintained as per their website:

Linux Gaming@lemmy.world•I have finally gotten rid of WindowsEnglish
2·6 months agoi would suggest looking into alternatives to Ventoy, as the community has been actively discussing the ‘blobs’ of precompiled code. What this code does is unknown so you are trusting that there is nothing that could be harmful. I personally wouldn’t trust it until the below thread provides more clarity.

Privacy@lemmy.ml•How is windscribe VPN ? How is your experience with it?
5·10 months agoJust sharing this write up about vulnerabilities in their client: https://gergelykalman.com/why-you-shouldnt-use-a-commercial-vpn-amateur-hour-with-windscribe.html
Lost Odyssey, certainly the first thing that comes to mind. Developed by Mistwalker with Hironobu Sakaguchi behind it.
I would need to know more details on your use case to say for certain, hard to know for sure without knowing the apps in question.
This comes to mind - I use it personally everyday and find it comes in handy for tasks like you’ve described above: https://github.com/TrianguloY/URLCheck

Privacy@lemmy.ml•Is Shelter the best way to isolate apps on Graphene?
2·1 year agoWould love to but switching profiles crashes my 6a and restarts the phone every time. Wish this problem would be fixed as it makes switching profiles so annoying and using a a service like shelter more convenient.

Privacy@lemmy.ml•Can someone explain the "don't put all your eggs in one basket" argument to me?
32·2 years agoIf a service is ever compromised, you would have chosen to consolidate information that would lead you to be more greatly vulnerable than if you had spread over multiple services.
I signed up for an account after reading about it on this site: https://digdeeper.neocities.org/articles/email Using it via Thunderbird on the desktop and K9 mail on the phone, works well and has been reliable so far.
…because why would you go to all the trouble to pay Mullvad (presumably to keep your sensitive information away from big tech) to then give it to google in the form of an e-mail should you reach out to Mullvad for support? Google would then suck up any and all data that comes via their gmail service.
