A couple of decades ago, my entire family decided we’d all just go on vacation together. No gifts, just enjoy the company. It was fantastic. Since then, almost every x-mas I go on a trip. I’ve been broke forever, so often these trips are just a week or so camping. People are welcome to come along, but if not, they know that I’m not part of any festivities they have planned. I still get a little pit-of-the-stomach feeling when the time of year rolls back around again, but it is far less than it used to be, and I find myself feeling much better for the coming year.

Maybe not suppose to exist in their current size (the same could be said for a lot of large cities), but humans have lived in both for thousands of years.

There is also a lot of info about the CIA teaching the Iranian gov’t effective torture techniques. I totally understand the animosity.

I was talking to someone the other day about the freedom that was felt in the music and movies of the time due, in my opinion, to the constantly hovering cold war end-of-the-world.
Wouldn’t the lower oxygen content in the atmosphere quickly kill the thing?
Insert that clip of him from years ago saying that you drop magnets in water, they stop working…
I once asked a question on here about forces involved in a gravity assist and had someone reply that it’s only something in movies, it doesn’t really exist.

The congressman suspects the act was “foul play or vandalism”, his spokesperson said.
“No, baby, I swear! I don’t know why that picture is on my phone. Someone must have hacked me!”

If I can’t find a half-way decent replacement when I have to get a new phone, I’m getting something super basic. Flip or whatever, only for emergency use. Something that’s not corrupted by google.

Sure, but the rest of the shithole would still be there.

Haha, yeah. I should have clarified with something like “the numbers on that table…”

That table sure paints a clear picture.

The things I’ve been reading for years about Debian make me think most “linux” people really don’t know or understand what stable/unstable means.

Yeah, it stopped working for me a little while ago, then I clicked some more stuff and it worked. I’m running Lineage OS release 22.2-20250808. In Magisk I have MagiskHide Props Config, MysticBlaze347 Presents:Xposed-HiddenCore, and Play Integrity Fix. I don’t know that all of those are needed, but it’s what I run. Under Settings->Configure DenyList, I have both Google Play… and Google Wallet checked. When it wasn’t working, I clicked on both of those and just made sure the sub-check settings were clicked as well. There are only like 2-3. After that it worked like it used to.

I always thought that was just the dumbest fucking rule.

I’ve been running Lineage OS for quite a while now. No issues with my banking app, and it just took Magisk for the Wallet to work.

Why have a primary?

I don’t think Kelvin is an obscure flex, but I had never heard of Delisle. That is a weird one! Thanks for sending me down a little rabbit hole.
Seems like it should be red-pill = science based, informed decisions. Blue pill = weird, ignorant, gut responses which deny reality.
