Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Email Clients That Allows Composing in Markdown?English
1·8 months agoYeah, some clients allow you to compose in html so I just copy paste from my markdown editor. But it would be nice to skip the copy paste part and just to parse the markdown directly on the client. Also the markdown renderer fails, the markdown is already human readable. So that would be cool.

Yes, I write mostly about technology but in no technical way.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Have you or someone you know ever fallen for a scam? What happened?English
12·9 months agoNot a scam but scumbag behaviour.:
My grandmother was offered a expensive credit line by the bank very insistently on the phone after they solved other of her problems. She obviously fell for it and had to pay a shit ton of interests.
They are verbose and pushy towards elderly people because they know they are prone to accept thing they do not need/want.
Wow, I would have never thought of that
- People get lost in navigation menus (web or otherwise) and relaunching the browser or app.
- People who use Caps Lock for one letter(psychos).
- People who know refuse to use virtual desktops/workspaces/tags when they have more than 5 windows open.
- People who refuse to learn common keybind shortcuts like open, cut, paste, close window, open tab and print. This one triggers me when I use a shortcut to help someone and they say I’m in the wrong menu…

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•DAE feel like DuckDuckGo is now just as good as google for the vast majority of searches?English
51·9 months agoI use Startpage and it feels like I always get the results I want even when I don’t use perfect prompts. Just recently I got a three month free trial for Kagi and the results were better than google in my opinion, or at least less cluttered with “possibly related things” that are just ads in the end.
I would suppose with the same gestures as the image ones but since you mention is not that then I would assume it could work with native iOS gestures? I’m sorry, do not own any Apple devices. I suggest asking on Thunder’s community or making an issue on Github.
Did you rank these in a particular order, or is it just four that you like?
In preferred order.
Jerboa has everything you might need related to Lemmy functions, as it is the native app developed by the same Lemmy authors. But I feel the interface is not as good as Thunder’s. And as for Voyager, I dislike the interface because is reminiscent of old iPhone interfaces (even though you can change it something similar to Android). And as far as I remember Thunder’s post’s comments view is better for me. In my opinion Thunder has the better combination of Function, UI and UX.

I didn’t know that, thank you!
