Sadly no. He packed it up about 6 months ago. However if you can get your hands on an ASUS BW-16D1HT, you can flash the firmware yourself. I could have done that but he was offering it for a negligible difference and it was just quicker to do that method.
I bought a modified BD drive from a person who was flashing libredrive supported firmware and then got a registered copy of MakeMKV.
It’s been stupid simple for me to rip any BD or 4K disc that I can get my hands on. If you choose the “backup” option it spits it out to a folder structure which then use mkisofs to create an iso of things.
Honestly my biggest problem is constantly running out of hard drive space because I want to keep the original, uncompressed isos. What’s nice though is once i have the iso I can pop it back into MakeMKV and just extract what I want. I can then run that through Handbrake and compress to my exact specifications.

Once upon a time it was a good way to help build a community and to help pass along social knowledge of living in groups, however people very quickly learned it could be used for control and since then has been another means of exerting power over gullible people.
There are a lot of IT departments though that get to throw up their hands and say “can’t fix it, it’s a cloud issue!” and watch as management, who pushed for cloud in the first place, sucks it up because they don’t want to lose face for their decision.

Linux just barely broke 3% share. As a company, whose goal is to make money, would you focus on what 97% of your base uses, or the 3%?
Further more, the company needs to spend QC resources for 1-2 versions of Windows, vs the multitude of Linux distros, but let’s say you can get a passable port, may not be the best but for minimal effort you can sell to a handful of that 3%, the business thinks “why not?”
In the grand scheme of things, native Linix ports is still low on the priority list for a company focused on making money

It doesn’t matter if it’s the same atoms or not, I am me.
What does it matter if there’s new “anima”. I am me. It doesn’t matter if it’s my original body or another body. It’s whatever is my current frame of reference for the corresponding meat bag that I inhabit.
I really don’t understand the whole “well I died, and this isn’t me”… are you conscious? Lucid? Retain your memories? Then what does it matter?
“Well what if the original is still around or there are two copies?” Again, it doesn’t matter, because at that point they are two physically distinct entities. You only inhabit one of them and the moment you start experiencing different stimuli, you’re two separate people. Granted at that point there are some legal and logistical issues, but it’s not a metaphysical one.
That’s how I’ve been. I know I’m dreaming, but unless I think something is egregiously wrong, I don’t bother to alter it and instead let it play out with the actions I think I should be doing.

I’d say in this environment, it’s no longer satire. Even the Onion is having trouble with articles because of how bad it is. Look at the responses and you’ll see people are encountering this exact issue in a very non-satirical way. Hell, in the US, you’re lucky to get 10 days off, let alone 28, and in some cases that’s not even mandated.

I’ve honestly never used it for playback but since it can rip 4K at 2x-4x playback speed I would assume it’d be just fine. The issue is the system you build would have to have a card that can output Atmos bitstreams as well as HDR.
As for ripping performance I’m over 500 DVD, BD, 4K and it’s doing great. You do have to give it 30 minutes between 4K discs to cool down.
