Touche! I was referring to the actress rather than the character, but that was left ambiguous. Well played.
I’m surprisingly level-headed for being a walking knot of anxiety.
Ask me anything.
Special skills include: Knowing all the “na na na nah nah nah na” parts of the Three’s Company theme.
I also develop Tesseract UI for Lemmy/Sublinks

VOY s7e7 “Body and Soul” starring Jeri Ryan as Bob Picardo as Jeri Ryan.

Jealous. All of my N64 and older consoles/handhelds ended up sold in a yard sale while I was in college :(
I’ve still got a functional and modded original Xbox with an expanded hard drive, and it’s loaded up with just about every retro game you can emulate. Xbox controllers are surprisingly versatile even to play Goldeneye.

Make a Seitan or Tofurky and they won’t want you to host again! Win Win!
100% the plan, haha, and yeah, they are quite delicious.

Always stay busy is great advice. Most of the family doesn’t care for turkey, so we usually have ham which isn’t as involved prep-wise. I used to be able to “hide” most of the day when we did turkey since I would be manning the outdoor fryer. I got to avoid most of the family drama that way. By the time I came in, everyone was in a good mood because the food was ready.
We used to rotate every year but somehow I ended up hosting the last 3. Thanksgiving is the one day a year I’m not a vegetarian, but if I get roped into this again next year I may do a vegetarian spread. 😂

Patrick, there’s uh, something burning outside. I think you should take a look at it.
Thanks, Old Man!

I have one cool in-law, thank gods. Would probably be closer to Jadzia than Morn, though.

Yes lol. The four of them each represent a phase of my mood as the delegation approaches.

Thankfully, no. Just hyper-critical of literally everything and don’t feel the need (or lack the capability) to filter themselves.
There will be more specific memes / venting as the holiday approaches. Stay tuned!

Yeah, I needed a warp core I could tinker with for some development work so had to pull the old ship instance out of the fleet museum.

I didn’t even know they still made them. Used to see the packs of the transfer sheets everywhere but either haven’t seen them or haven’t noticed them. I also don’t have an inkjet printer to use with them, but if I was going to do a batch of shirts, it’d probably pay off to buy a “disposable” one and use the ink that comes with it.
The only thing with those, though, was that I always forget to turn the shirts inside out before washing them so the print never lasted very long.

Ordering them is not cheap it seems. It would almost be worth it to buy a cheap inkjet printer and use those iron-on transfer sheets (if they still make them?)

I just searched a custom sweater website where you can upload your own graphics. Was like $59 for a single adult medium, so it became a meme rather than something I’m going to own.

Anytime someone is the first of their species to join Starfleet, they tend to bend some rules. Which seems pretty consistent across the franchise.
Even in The Orville (which is a love letter to the franchise) they do acknowledge that, especially when there’s a Xeleyan applicant. Xeleyans typically don’t join Starfleet the Union fleet due to their preference for academic and scientific endeavors. When one does sign up, they get fast-tracked.

I noticed that, too. I think it’s just the lighting, color balance (it’s got a heavy yellow tint), and the sharp focus only on Briones’s face that’s making it look off. Pretty sure it looked the same in the episode.
Or maybe Briones wasn’t available to shoot that scene and they filmed it with a body double and added her face on in post? I don’t think I’ve read that, but it wouldn’t be unheard of.

Lol, I was gonna say:
If you’re Worf, “Whil Whheaton” is also acceptable.
American officers call turbolifts the “turbovator” (which, jokes aside, does sound cooler).
