Most word processors will auto-format to em dashes when they detect regular dashes in context of a sentence with a space on either side

FDR was unarguably the most socialist president the US has ever had

Iran has open trade relations with China, Russia, and Turkey, which all have significant agricultural output. It also does quite a bit of trade with Europe despite sanctions. It does not have to artificially limit itself to importing only 15% of its food, especially given that irrigation is contributing to an unsustainable water crisis.
Would love a recipe if you have it. Looks delicious!
I would make this and throw in some Italian sausage and chopped kale

Congressional Democrats subpoenaed Epstein’s estate, then released them publicly

I found this guy’s profile and am sad to report I don’t think this is satire

During my undergrad I worked at a bio lab with a bunch of doctoral students, and only a small fraction of them had a master’s degree. A master’s degree isn’t required to enter a PhD program, and it isn’t useful unless it helps you achieve a specific career

That is the Republican Party’s goal

The extended recess stands to delay the swearing-in of Rep-elect. Adelita Grijalva (D-Ariz.), who is expected to be the final required signature on a discharge petition for a bill forcing Justice Department disclosure of files related to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
The recess decision is also likely to delay a planned Tuesday hearing in the Judiciary Committee with Attorney General Pam Bondi, with Democrats and at least one Republican planning to grill her on the administration’s handling of the Epstein case.

The famines, which outside of World War II when the Nazis deliberately attacked their farms, and outside of the 1930s, which had famine induced by weather disaster and magnified by privledged capitalist farmers called “kulaks” destroying their livestock and grain to prevent collectivization?
You’re really looking at this through red-tinted glasses. It’s ok to admit that there were also serious missteps by Stalin that magnified the extent of this famine, and that it was intentionally made worse for some ethnic minorities.

Are you seriously thinking this is how revolution in the US would go?
I’m saving this for later. I’m going to go all out with some fancy mushrooms

Some people aren’t mincing their words about it either, calling the deals “circular financing” or even “vendor financing” - where a company invests in or lends to its own customers so they can continue making purchases.
“Yes, the investment loans are unprecedented,” Mr Altman told me on Monday.
But, he added, “it’s also unprecedented for companies to be growing revenue this fast.”
OpenAI’s revenue is growing quickly, but it has never turned a profit.
While this may be something that has happened, this definitely is not something “the homeless do” in the US

Life is incredibly resilient, a ton of life is going to survive and adapt just fine. You think marginally increased global temperatures are worse than the Chicxulub impact? It’s crazy that in the face of environmental catastrophe people can still find ways to irrationally catastrophize

“The extinction of all life in Earth” is not a reasonable conclusion to draw from this

It’s pretty big leap from the Earth absorbing slightly more energy from the sun to “the extinction of all life on Earth.”

That’s actually not clear at all. How did you draw this conclusion from what’s written here? It cites decreased pollution across the northern hemisphere as one of the drivers of this, for example, and how is that horrifying?
At risk of incarceration for what
