Noto Sans definitely not choice for most of games.

Imagine having Elden Ring or Persona being served as Noto Sans. Even text heavy games, especially visual novel, use unique suitable font on main menu.

Native Indonesian and Javanese. Almost all Indonesian speaks one of the local languages + Indonesian as the country has 700+ of unique languages.

Feature-wise, it’s entirely different from Mastodon and other Twitter-clone. Though, these days Mastodon copies a lot of features from Tumblr as well.

Example difference: quote feature (not the same as exisiting Mastodon implementation), custom UI, discovery layout, etc.

I’m actually a Photoshop and CSP users that regularly report missing features to Krita and GIMP. Even Krita dev often ask community which featuers they want from CSP. Some example that GIMP and Krita does not have that I remember:

• 3D environment (available on CSP and PS)
• flexible several document views (only on CSP)
• adjustable anchor resize (only on CSP)

A lot of advance features of Photoshops simply does not exist on any FOSS alternative.

That site is actually relatively notable among Adian comic readers, as it also provide manga, manhua, manhwa, Indonesian comics, Thai comcis, and more stuff.

Most of their content are aggregated from Mangadex. It also accept user submission. Some scanlation use the site after Mangadex’s Kakao webtoon DMCA and 1000+ of manga DMCA.

They cannot do that to every manufacturer, as most of countries are incentivized to not dependent on American or any foreign product.

I can see China or European manufacturer will slowly move from Windows. At least China already learning the hard way from Android-Huawei relationship.

fooyin. It’s foobar2000 clone but fully FOSS. It’s also adding a lot of features that foobar2000 does not have.

I actually use it for some PC, still missing a lot of features tho.

Krita and GIMP lacks too many advance features for comic creation.

As much as I want to move from them, Excel and Photoshop are too advance compared to any alternative, including both FOSS and commercial one.

Even Excel Online is not as advance as Excel desktop.

Casual users can get away from them, not advance user that needs unique feature only available in the software.

The engine change was made to incorporate mobile as well, right? I recall the original is not exactly mobile platform friendly.

Its license is more of forbidding anyone to use it for commercial purpose. People still can fork it for non-commercial purpose.

It’s not ideal but I won’t blame them. Huge chunk of casual consumer FOSS are distrubuted without permission on mobile, slapping ads and other monetization. Notably, almost all Minecraft clone on Android are based Minetest/Luanti.

The race of a voice actor doesn’t matter

My country has 300 ethnics groups, so they tend to match character ethnic to its voice actor. But if it’s not, no one gets angry. People is simply happy when various culture is celerated.

Though, when it comes to international movie/series/games, it truly does not matter as there’s no way to 100% match voice actor race or ethnic groups. Sometimes, people that outside the groups actually do a better match for a specific character.
