The pip and flinx series by Alan dean foster

I love Alan Dean Foster’s work for the most part. His writing is excellent and hes been writing for eons.

Lidarr for discographies and keeping up with releases, deemix for downloading singles direct from deezer. I often only like one song from a release and hate having to filter through full discographies to find the one thing I like, so this works great for me. Deemix is also blazingly fast.

This all goes to jellyfin and i play it on my phone with symphonium.

Post length capped unless you pay Emotes can’t be used between servers uses you pay Tiny Image upload limit (unless you pay) Profile decoration requires payment and is basically a blaring ad Can’t readjust UI size Nitro and server boosts as a whole Ads. MAM has some comics and manga, but its not extensive.

What a load of crock. Hilariously this worked the opposite way for me. Was working in a medium sized business as the only tech support person. Boss was constantly asking “what do you do all day?” because I’d miss one thing on his task list, even though I was supporting the whole company. Got missed for promotions because “You don’t come say hi to the whole office in the morning.”

Moved to a fully remote job, started popping up more on the radars of execs because suddenly if they want people to show up to their weird little culture events they have to invite people to them on calendar events, and I can join them since I’m remote and can do my work at the same time as having it up on another monitor. They see my name and face everywhere and start associating me with someone who “shows up to the conversations”. I’m remote, do less work faster and happier, and am already interviewing for promotions.

And bonus I can just ignore people’s shitty social games, or wait to react to questions or requests until I’ve had time to think them through, instead of someone walking up to my desk in the middle of an outage and interpreting my stress as unfriendliness.

Except it does. Because owning a digital copy legally speaking means you own a licence to a software, but not the software. Physical discs / flash drive / cartridges are owned, licenses can be revoked and are not owned in the same sense.
