Try watching Space Above and Beyond if you can find it. Only went for one season and wasn’t renewed. Sets up a hard fighting crew with internal personal conflicts that rocks out whilst killing aliens and cyborgs.
Good show, shame it didn’t survive.
Set in the years 2063–2064, the show focuses on the “Wildcards”, members of the United States Marine Corps 58th Squadron of the Space Aviator Cavalry.

B5 is a more honest tale (feels handmade and passionate), that you might not appreciate if you need high production values to keep interested.
B5 is less accessible, and sometimes you need to be paying attention. DS9 is better at spoon feeding you and making sure you have what you need. B5 is trying to tell the B5 story. DS9 is trying to expand its region of Star Trek story telling, and occasionally wanders into expert episodes of single story high sci-fi. B5 is a different kind of epic (more like a Space Opera)
They both do great things but some people want the backing and polish of a Star Trek univese, which can make DS9 feel more like home, whilst also preventing it from feeling alien. B5 feels more alien and like there’s something unknown going on, as scifi maybe should?

The space station show where an alien religious cast helps the station commander fight a large scale political and physical war against an insidious enemy not detectable to the human eye, even though a genocidal race aiding them may be sacrificed?
…wait, which one am I talking about?
The one that’s pro-union, has large character arcs, and a conspiracy that plays out back home.
Wait, which one?
The one where ancient text profecy it all.
The one where the Station Commander actually belonged to that part of space after all. You know, he wasn’t really like other humans.
…i give up.
They both match these descriptions… But interestingly enough B5 often ends up feeling like it’s telling the bigger story! Sometimes it feels like DS9 is just trying to keep up with it (albeit with much higher production values).
…and the B5 aliens are somehow, more alien. It’s got a lot going for it, and is an underdog that punches above its weight class.

Neelix: Rogue Trader, in which Neelix searches the Delta Quadrant looking for more eight year old Ocampan girls to sell to the Kazon from his own private island planet, Little Saint James planet.
EDIT: Yes, in the show he was dating an eight year girl, who was struggling to develop her emotions. Do people not realize this? Worst relationship in Star Trek history.

I’ve never tried the original Battlestar Galactica, so I’ll definitely be watching the newer one.

I don’t like his eyes or his voice, or that he gets more stretchy as the show goes on. I also don’t like that he’s the only heavily made up (make up wise) crew member. I don’t find him particularly likeable.
I get that it’s part of the premise though, that ENT is trying to be a more coarse, and under developed Trek, so of course most aliens aren’t going to be signing up.
Speaking of which, I’m not really a fan of the Xindi as the bad guys… it’s almost like, it’s all a Holodeck program Riker or someone is writing.
/cough cough /

Nah, I’m currently re-watching Babylon 5 and then planning to re-watch Battlestar Galactica after that.
I don’t think ENT is going to get a fouth attempt. I’m kind of impressed it never stuck. I don’t think I find any of the characters likeable enough.
Hoshi and Trip are the most likeable, but they’re very American. In fact they’re all very American. Even Malcolm feels like an American idea of a stuffy British guy. I could picture any of them in a frat house.
I might even go as far as to say, ENT is a Star Trek that makes no effort towards internationalism… And that the declining quality of Star Trek comes from a similar drift being repeated.

I’ve watched TNG, VOY, and DS9 through several times over… Even watched TOS through at least once or twice.
…never watched ENT all the way through.

Yeah, but I think they were mostly living in Afghanistan prior to the attack.

“I get everyone elses from the holodeck cleaning filters”.

Plenty more fish in the sea.

Beheadings, shooting people with impunity, monarchism, modern slavery, being the origin country of the most 9/11 hijackers, underaged arranged marriages, paying random women and girls from the Internet to go over there and then literally shitting on them. Buying children from Trump to sex traffic… and yes, using violence and torture to surpress journalism and political dissent.

Epics launcher and asset store is widely mocked for being janky on Windows too.

Four 9s? How is anyone going to remember that?

Spock… Are we the… Bad guys?

After Google’s LLM revealed undisclosed character details to a curious superfan – who then shared them over Discord – the developer began to suspect Gemini had been scraping Google Docs to train its AI. games developer klub kofta has accused gemini of scraping their privat google docs.
Using the handle of their solo Canadian indie game development studio, Klub Kofta, the developer took to Reddit to share details about how the player was able to obtain “surprisingly obscure information” about Kofta’s Ocean-themed tower defense game.
According to the player, the AI then came up with the correct name for a new character, “Vantage Tripod,” which had not been previously disclosed.
I feel like this story might just be to get media for their game. It’s pretty much a story about something that happened on Reddit - which pretends Reddit is a 100% honest, and totally not manufactured place. People lie all the time on Reddit. But also, how many clues would a fan following the games development have? Were there other guesses… Feels like there are lots of plot holes here.
After searching their Discord server history, Kofta said there were no previous mentions of the name.
Dev isn’t even certain they didn’t mention it somewhere. For all I know they live stream development progress. It’s such a nothing burg.
…also the article its self was “aided by nexos.ai”.

I really don’t think it’s about negative or positive, it’s just about getting people to look up your name.
“Better to be thought of negatively than not thought lf at all” type shit.

Smells like a promotional stunt to get into the headlines.
