Cooking @lemmy.world•grilled cheese with parmesan thyme butter
7·29 days agoI’ve discovered Dutch Gouda in a big wheel lately and have been going nuts with it and sourdough bread. A little wholegrain mustard and a pickle on the side. Little pepper, little salt…
Damn it, mouth is watering again…

Python@programming.dev•uv is the best thing to happen to the Python ecosystem in a decade
211·1 month agoUsing the UV hashbang and a few doc strings for dependencies so you can run full on python scripts as executables is fucking crack.

Linux@lemmy.ml•This is the only Windows thing left on my computer
2·3 months agoI might scratch mine now after seeing this. I prefer personalisation over most things honestly.
So you drive daily with nushell and then script in bash for portability?
Sounds not bad actually…
Nice username

Linux@lemmy.ml•The impossibility of finding a Linux laptop that I like
21·4 months agoDell Precision 5570
Its what I got from work, its pretty nice quality I have to say.
Usually a functional thinkpad guy, but the screen, trackpad, build, specs, all very good. Keyboard could be better but if you’re coming from a Mac then it will be just fine.
5480 is the 14" apparently.

Open Source@lemmy.ml•Keybee Keyboard: The most ergonomic keyboard for Android.
2·4 months agoMight give it a go.
At work we use it sometimes on Linux because we maintain a script that needs to work on multiple platforms, ps1 did that in this usecase better.
Came down to ps1 on Linux was better and more predictable than bash on windows.
Sadly.
Try a v60 with 30g in a 10oz cup, I think you’ll be right for the morning
Happy with the quality of the black tshirt I got here. Not thin plastic stuff.
Similar to yours OP I copy many URLs and then run my script that takes the number of URLs I copied eg 5,and downloads them with
yt-dlpand GNUparallelto~/VideosI use CopyQ to hold the clipboard history.

Linux@lemmy.ml•Must fight temptation to buy an overpriced raspberry pi
5·6 months agoTrue, but we don’t really say landfill, rather “tip”… So…
Shoegoo, what we used as skaters to protect from the grip tape. Should get you a bit more out of them.
Or good old leather “school shoes”?

I use copyq on wayland everyday. But not gnome, on hyprland.
